Misleading Information & Inconsistent Leasing Practices
April 13, 20261 Star – Misleading Information & Inconsistent Leasing Practices I do not typically leave reviews, but I feel it is important to share our experience to help other applicants make informed decisions. My daughter applied for housing at The Rose Apartments as a CSUN student, and I applied as her co-signer. During our tour, the leasing manager (Samantha) clearly stated that my role as a co-signer would be limited to income verification and that my credit would not be used as a determining factor. ...I was also initially told that the income requirement was 3x the rent. Based on that representation, we proceeded with the application and submitted all requested documentation, including pay stubs, bank statements, and landlord references. After applying, I communicated with another staff member (Caesar), who advised that the acceptable credit range was between 550–800. This further confirmed our understanding of the requirements. However, after submission: A hard inquiry was run on my credit I was denied as a co-signer based on my credit profile, which also contained some inaccurate information I was then informed that the actual requirement was a minimum 650 credit score and 4x the rental income It is important to note that I do meet the 4x income requirement, which makes the shifting criteria even more concerning. These requirements were never disclosed upfront and directly contradicted what we were told prior to applying. Additionally, attempts to contact the leasing office for clarification were unsuccessful, as calls, texts, and emails were not returned in a timely manner. Due to the inconsistent and misleading information provided throughout the process, we ultimately chose not to move forward with this property. I would strongly encourage future applicants to request all qualification criteria in writing before applying to avoid unexpected credit inquiries or changes in requirements.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Overpriced and sketchy rental agreement
May 31, 2022Ended up having to pay an extra month while apartment was empty. We signed a 10 month Lease Agreement with specific move in and out days. It wasn't clear we were still required to give a 30 day termination notice. We didn't find this out until the day we were moving out. Also this place is always dirty, it's very noisy with dogs barking and smells like weed all the time. A/C is not central so it gets very hot in the warmer months. Not to mention it's pricey. Overpriced and the worst living conditions!
May 23, 2020For starters, if you want your packages to always get stolen, live here. If you wanna see mysterious pools of blood throughout the stairs of the lobby, live here. If you want 10 cop cars and cops in your lobby looking for someone and you don't know what's going on, live here. If you want to be woken up at 3am cause of a crackhead neighbor screaming at the top of her lungs and no one doing anything about it (including police), live here. Don’t move in here if you want to sleep
February 22, 2020Do yourself a favor and don't live here, I'm currently in the process of suing the apartment complex in small claims court for inhabitability because of loud noise caused by one of the hallway doors next to my apartment. After requesting for this to be fixed over 10!!! Times over the past 6 months they told me to wear earplugs in my own apartment to ignore the noise when they should just fix the door. After the 10th time I told them they also told me that the door won't be replaced because it's ...to expensive so I'm currently suing them. Every night I can't sleep because the door slams to loudly every time someone walks in and it's going to take literally suing them in order to get them to fix the door, because that's where we're at now. Also their maintenance stuff is up bright and early at 9 am to scream at one another in front of my unit and wake me up after being unable to sleep in the unit due to their hallway door that slams. Also the units aren't sound proof at all and I can consistently hear what my neighbor is doing. Also when i first moved in my shower was producing brown water with sand in it and it took them a nice two months to fix it :) also the AC breaker will just randomly shut off every 2 weeks and I have to call maintenance for them to fix it, move somewhere else!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
