Best 2 years ever!! Highly recommend
June 7, 2024I lived here for two years and only left due to a job relocation. While the ad might not capture all the features, the private pond in front of the building is truly priceless. I enjoyed taking multiple walks daily for a refreshing break. Just a short stroll over the bridge takes you to Centennial Park. These amenities make living at the Shay a pleasure. The exceptional management team, along with the pool, gym, and numerous activities, make it hard to want to leave. Move here, you’ll love it!Property Manager Responded

Safety is a MAJOR CONCERN!
September 29, 2021People of Nashville and those moving here, do not consider The Shay as a place to live. The safety and security of this building are significantly lacking. After several complaints made over the last almost 2 years only empty promises have been made and it’s gotten to the point where a lady was attacked and robbed in our parking garage. Ongoing Safety Issues in 2021
September 29, 2021I have lived at the shay for a year and a half without issue until this last summer. There have been continual security problems, ultimately leading to a woman being attacked in the parking garage. Management has been contacted on several occasions, but security has not significantly changed. Until this issue is resolved, I will be looking for alternative housing.Review from Apartments.com
Not Worth It
March 27, 2020Living here isn't what it seems. Yes, it has awesome amenities and looks great but it's not worth it. I wanted to break my lease within a week but I finished it and I am glad I am gone. 1. Management- If you need something, you CANNOT rely on email or phone call. You have to actually go to them to get things done. 2. Residents- Your neighbors will be the young crowd. I'll gauge at, in university/graduated university or currently Post grad. Basically early 20's to mid 20's. Loud, messy people, ...parents still paying for their rent. I get it, it's a business but it takes away from the whole "The Shay" experience. It's a shame. Summers were a drag. Parties late at night, girls and boys screaming and getting drunk. These people are also very messy. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE ENOUGH HOW DIRTY THE RESIDENTS LEAVE THE PLACE. 3. Apartment- THE WALLS AND CEILINGS ARE THIN. You can hear people talking in a normal volume yet hear every single word and every single step. YOU COULD HEAR EVERYTHING THAT'S GOING ON OUTSIDE. Cars, ambulance, train, and CONSTRUCTION all hours of the day. It's ludicrous how a nice looking complex didn't bother to think about thicker walls or sound proofing. In summary, I personally didn't think it was worth it to live here. Management was horrible, this resident population is something else, and the apartment reeks. October 26, 2019My aunt lives her and I enjoy coming to visit her on my breaks from school. Let me be the one to tell you, it is amazing here. The staff here really do care for you and want to make sure that you have an all around amazing experience livening at The Shay. The amenities are amazing! The gym and pool are beautiful. Don’t Live Here!!!
March 3, 20192 Stars because I was feeling generous and because the amenities and location are great. The gym is nice, but that’s the only good part of living here. The noise is out of control. The police have been called several times because of it. Hallways often smell like weed. People frequently smoke cigarettes even though it’s prohibited. Management is unresponsive, terrible with communication, and does nothing to prevent community violations. The parking garage gates only work half the time. Neighbors ...are rude and inconsiderate, leaving dog poop everywhere and trash in the parking garage. Apartment was not ready upon move in date. Don’t live here! I hate living at the shay
March 2, 2019It looks nice on the outside and the clubhouse and amenities they spent money on but the actual apartments are cheaply thrown together and something is always broken either the bathtub won't drain, dishwasher leaks or garage door is broken. It's always something and the staff doesn't care. The staff is full of fake smiles and good words until there is an issue and then they are nowhere to be found and full of excuses. I have also had sinus infections almost every month since living here. The air ...quality is really poor. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that there are tons of better places to spend your money in nashville and unless you plan to live in the main clubhouse where their office is don't be fooled by the flash of this place it's all surface level and the word is getting out. Love it
February 15, 2019I have lived here for 5 months now. Property is beautiful. Area is secure, with roaming security at night. Love the gym and pool. I think it is wonderful that there are twice a week free classes (yoga and circuit training). Occasionally there are free massages. The events, Christmas party, Halloween, etc are catered very well, these are not cheaply done events. The area is quiet, the neighbors are friendly. The staff are sweet, and hard working. Exactly Where I Want To Be
February 14, 2019Relocating from Southern California to Nashville was one of the best decisions I have made. Nashville is a young city that is growing and thriving by the day. New luxurious housing developments are being designed and built very quickly within the city and having all these options could be somewhat overwhelming for someone like me, but in a good way. Being this was my first venture out of Orange County, CA, it was crucial to find the right apartment suitable for me. Prior to my move to Nashville, ...I researched housing options and I narrowed down my choices to 3 apartments in the area. I booked a short trip to Nashville in late June 2018 because 1)I wanted to see these apartments myself so I can get a personal feel if those would be the right choices and 2)so I can get a feel of the city and the location of these apartments to where I need to be or to where I need to go. The Shay was my last stop and I was blown away right from the start. I signed my lease the very same day. My move in date was mid August 2018 and the process was very smooth. The property is new, modern, and conveniently located to where I am currently working. The Shay is right next to Centennial Park & Vanderbilt. It's a gorgeous property inside and out. The amenities that are offered within the complex and unit itself fulfilled my expectations. A few aspects that sold me was the washer/dryer located inside the unit. The Google Fiber accessibility was a huge help. Big fan of Google Fiber now as a provider for TV & Internet. The dark lament flooring gave the living area and kitchen a nice touch and is easy to clean. The Shay offers garage parking which is a huge plus for me. The fitness/gym area gets the job done if you're looking to get a good work out in. The pool is a great size and located right in the middle of the property. The management team are friendly, professional and know exactly what they are doing. They are responsive, courteous, and knowledgeable. October 10, 2018The Shay has been the best property I have lived at. The Manager Lindsey is such a great person and will do anything to make sure you are taken care of. The same goes for the Assistant Manager Heather. God I love her, she is amazing, kind and will do anything for you. The leasing agents Kelsi and Chase are awesome people as well and will help you find the right apartment for you. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to have working at the property I live at. Not only do the employees make ...this a special place to live, but the property is GORGEOUS!!! The amenities you get when you lease here are incredible. Did I mention weekly resident events? I am so glad I chose to lease here. Who hates annoying neighbors and thin walls? I came from a apartment complex like this and it was horrible. I can honestly sit here and write that I DO NOT hear my neighbors and there are no airbnb's at this property!!
