  • Best 2 years ever!! Highly recommend

    June 7, 2024
    I lived here for two years and only left due to a job relocation. While the ad might not capture all the features, the private pond in front of the building is truly priceless. I enjoyed taking multiple walks daily for a refreshing break. Just a short stroll over the bridge takes you to Centennial Park. These amenities make living at the Shay a pleasure. The exceptional management team, along with the pool, gym, and numerous activities, make it hard to want to leave. Move here, you’ll love it!

  • Safety is a MAJOR CONCERN!

    People of Nashville and those moving here, do not consider The Shay as a place to live. The safety and security of this building are significantly lacking.   • Ongoing Safety Issues in 2021

    I have lived at the shay for a year and a half without issue until this last summer. There have been continual security problems, ultimately leading to a woman being attacked in the parking garage. Management has been contacted on several occasions, but security has not significantly changed. Until this issue is resolved, I will be looking for alternative housing.

    Living here isn't what it seems. Yes, it has awesome amenities and looks great but it's not worth it. I wanted to break my lease within a week but I finished it and I am glad I am gone. 1. Apartment- THE WALLS AND CEILINGS ARE THIN. You can hear people talking in a normal volume yet hear every single word and every single step. YOU COULD HEAR EVERYTHING THAT'S GOING ON OUTSIDE. Cars, ambulance, train, and CONSTRUCTION all hours of the day. It's ludicrous how a nice looking complex didn't bother to think about thicker walls or sound proofing. In summary, I personally didn't think it was worth it to live here. Management was horrible, this resident population is something else, and the apartment reeks. If your parents are still paying for your rent and you love to party at all hours, be loud, leave your trash everywhere, then this is the place for you.

    2 Stars because I was feeling generous and because the amenities and location are great. The gym is nice, but that’s the only good part of living here. The noise is out of control. The police have been called several times because of it. Hallways often smell like weed. People frequently smoke cigarettes even though it’s prohibited.     It looks nice on the outside and the clubhouse and amenities they spent money on but the actual apartments are cheaply thrown together and something is always broken either the bathtub won't drain, dishwasher leaks or garage door is broken. It's always something and the staff doesn't care. The staff is full of fake smiles and good words until there is an issue and then they are nowhere to be found and full of excuses.     I have lived here for 5 months now. Property is beautiful. Area is secure, with roaming security at night. Love the gym and pool. I think it is wonderful that there are twice a week free classes (yoga and circuit training). Occasionally there are free massages. The Shay was my last stop and I was blown away right from the start. I signed my lease the very same day. My move in date was mid August 2018 and the process was very smooth. The property is new, modern, and conveniently located to where I am currently working. The Shay is right next to Centennial Park & Vanderbilt. It's a gorgeous property inside and out. The amenities that are offered within the complex and unit itself fulfilled my expectations. A few aspects that sold me was the washer/dryer located inside the unit. The Google Fiber accessibility was a huge help. Big fan of Google Fiber now as a provider for TV & Internet. The dark lament flooring gave the living area and kitchen a nice touch and is easy to clean. The Shay offers garage parking which is a huge plus for me. The fitness/gym area gets the job done if you're looking to get a good work out in. The pool is a great size and located right in the middle of the property. The management team are friendly, professional and know exactly what they are doing. They are responsive, courteous, and knowledgeable.
