We recently moved here and are happy to say we made the right choice! The property management staff were very helpful and pleasant through the process and worked with us to address any concerns we had right away. We had some small issues upon move in and the maintenance guys were very courteous and responsive to them. Nice community and really beautiful environment. The pond is amazing!!

When I first moved I was skeptical because its so busy in the area but after meeting the leasing staff and seeing the apartment I realized this is where I belong. The neighbors are quiet, no nonsense, very clean and the staff are very professional and keep a lot of activities throughout the year. Love it here?

Whenever we had an issue (which was quite rare) we were able to reach out to the office and get positive feedback in a timely manner. Going down hill

Unfortunately, the place is going down hill People leave their trash at their door Pool always dirty , warns at the bottom of the pool Bathrooms always locked No propane tank at the barbecue area The office is the worst , they do not respond to complaint All chairs are broke and nothing was replaced this year My 4 years old daughter was going to fall from the chair and hurt her leg from the screws on the chairs . I do not recommend it to anyone.

I am a REAL person and I absolutely would, and have recommend “The Shores” to just about ANYBODY (good human beings ONLY lol ) looking for an apartment in Columbia. I am overwhelmed by how great the rental experience has been here. My fiancé and I moved here in 2021 and have stayed almost a full year so far, the only reason we will be leaving is because we need more room for our growing family and a yard for our dog. Since our application process, which was very easy had an extremely quick turn ...
over time, Angel’s (the current property manager) team has been nothing but kind, timely and professional. The team was always responsive, and helpful whenever needed. During our time as renters “The Shores” continued to wow us, with the maintenance staff being more than eager to assist with just about any request while on the clock. They were always visible on the property, even on weekends, and very easy to connect with in regards to any repairs (which we had very few through out). They even helped me move a large item out of our apartment when I was in my last trimester. The grounds are keep extremely neat and clean, and they even offer extra storage for a great price, which we absolutely used during our time here. I honestly can not say anything negative about the grounds or the team. It truly is one of the best places to rent in Columbia and it even has a car wash across the street. Can’t beat that!

Not a lot of Leasing Professionals work in the manner she does. She is definitely a gem! My AC went out when I moved in and she has maintenance come in and fix it within 5 minutes! One word, DEDICATED! I will definitely recommend The Shores to anyone looking just because of her!

Great Living Experience

I have lived here since 2019 and it has been an overall pleasant experience. Being on the second floor unfortunately you will have noise disadvantages two ways BUT I have had great neighbors who calmed down once they were told about it. This is a quiet community that is close to all the schools, restaurants and shopping centers. I would definitely recommend it to others.

We lived here for over a year but had to move because of work. Living here was very pleasant. The manager Kenyetta was always helpful & kind. Whenever something went wrong or we needed help, she was on point & got it done. Not many places I've stayed can I say that. The grounds are well kept too. Nice environment.

The Shores was a nice place to live for the time I was there. Community is nice and quiet but when it comes to the neighbors, that becomes the issue. I lived on the 2nd floor and the neighbors above me were extremely inconsiderate. Always stomping loud, yelling, and banging on things at all times of the night. I made numerous complaints to the management off and to the courtesy officer but only seen one result that lasted for maybe 2 days. I talked with Brenda about the issue and she couldn’t ...
help me. She only suggested I move on the 3rd floor because there is nothing she can do. Well what’s the point of telling me to talk to them about any issues and having a courtesy officer live on the property if nothing can be done. Brenda was no help throughout my time there and honestly she really isn’t much of a customer service person. Make sure to read over your lease (but to them a contract) thoroughly because they have some misleading words/sentences that goes against what they’re actual policy is.

We feel we handled your situation to the best of our ability but unfortunately without the cooperation of all parties involved we were unsuccessful. In regards to our lease, it is a legally binding agreement written by the National Apartment Association so nothing in there is meant to be misleading, however we apologize if you feel that way.
