Not a luxury apartment
October 1, 2025This is an honest review. The hallways smell awful. There is definitely a mold problem from leaks. Hallways are dirty, and smell like trash from people putting their trash out all weekend when there is no pick up. They don’t get fined. Always alcohol cans and cigarettes thrown around property. Christmas trees have set out back along with junk for almost a year. Paid for pest control every month, to have roaches. German roaches not just palmetto bugs. The parking is awful. If you don’t arrive ...home before 6 you will not found a parking spot. The garage is awful, and alway filled. The situation will only get worst with the building of new units facing Maybank. Grills don’t work, pool is always dirty. Many loud neighbors playing music late into the night.Property Manager Responded

Great Management

We're happy here
May 1, 2023This review is written after a year living at the Standard. I've found it to be a great place to live. The location is perfect for me, allowing easy access to downtown, Pour House, and Folly Beach. Whenever I needed maintenance they didn't stop until the issue was resolved, shoutout Byron's crew. Also whenever I had weird issues like technology fees showing up 3x for one month, Sean was extremely friendly, helpful, and poised despite the hectic day the office had experienced. They resurfaced the ...pool this past offseason and have nicely landscaped areas. The amazon locker is clutch. Yeah it could be a little cleaner in the stairwells or parking garage, but even having an elevated place to keep my vehicle during hurricane season is worth it. I don't love how much rent continues to rise, but that seems to be a widespread issue across CHS. We'll see if we can afford to live here for another 3 years or so, but in the meantime I would definitely recommend living at The Standard.Property Manager Responded

Absolutely terrible
February 17, 2021Pretty much the worst experience I have ever had at an apartment. The place is filthy, the maintenance team is horrible and the front office staff is extremely rude and very unhelpful for any situation. We had many major issues with our unit with water leaks that took weeks to get fixed. The maintenance team is very incompetent and couldn't fix anything right. I started fixing things myself. Their social media looks great but that's about the only thing they maintain well. Don't be fooled by ...this. Stay away from this place.Property Manager Responded

Feels like home!
April 5, 2018This honestly is the best apartment complex I've lived in. The staff is so helpful and really care about your well-being. The maintenance staff does a great job and always answers your questions, no matter how big or small. Their amenities are amazing as well! The salt water pool is beautiful and the gym is open 24/7. It's also in the perfect location! It's close to downtown, Folly beach, and MUSC. I love calling this place home!Property Manager Responded

Not Good
May 17, 2016They do not address concerns as soon as they should (my a/c was broken for 2 months and they had someone come in 5 different times to fix it), it's supposed to be a secured property but when the gates are left open, they do nothing and one door has been broken for 2 months, there are multiple structural problems with the building, the leasing office manager is rude and disrespectful, packages that get delivered are put in a room and not secured so anyone can go in there and take your ...packages.....one of mine disappeared.......and one of the girls in the front office is a huge gossip and will tell everyone all your business which is extremely unprofessional!!
