About The Summit Apartments

Tucked away in a quiet corner of Huntsville, Texas, the Summit Apartments offer everything you are looking for and more. From the radiant pool area to the newly updated apartment, there was no expense spared! We just finished upgrading the property with new flooring and a completely remodeled bathroom. If you are looking to get the biggest bang for your buck, then look no further this is the property for you. Offered by Property: New flooring, repainted, laundry connections, private porch or balcony, new shaker style cabinetry and brand new appliances Offered by Community: Pool Area, on-site management office and off street parking Offered by Area: Very close to a H.E.B., walking distance to Sam Houston University, Right by town center with plenty of stores to shop from and quick access to highway 75 To qualify for one of our apartment homes, the following requirements need to be met. Monthly income must be at least 3x the rent. No evictions, second chance leasing or bankruptcies are permitted in our communities. Generally, misdemeanors less than 5 years and felonies less than 7 years result in denial. Criminal history is reviewed on a case by case basis through our 3rd party screening company. Credit and background screening will impact the deposit insurance.

The apartment is neat and quiet. I like the environment and easy access to highways, food restaurants and few blocks away where I used to live. The property manager is very supportive of any concerns about the apartment.

I have been living here for a year now and I resigned my lease again for another year back in February. This community is just the little piece of heaven I was looking for. The perfect way to start over and have a fresh perspective. The apartments are renovated and are very clean great aesthetic. The community is friendly and very clean completely welcoming and quiet. It has been a great place to live! It is kept clean and my apt is updated and plenty of space for my child and I. I prefer apartments with no carpet anywhere, just like these. Maintenance is always quick and friendly.

The Summit is okay. They were recently bought by an investment firm based out of Dallas. They've repainted the exterior and reroofed which improved the appearance somewhat but it's still very bland. They're remodeling the empty apartments and raising the rent. It's nearly impossible to find cheap housing in Huntsville now. There's a shared water heater or the entire complex that can't seem to keep up with the needs of the residents; it's warm but never really hot, so if you enjoy hot showers or ...

baths you're out of luck. Since the complex is built up on a hill there's very little cold water pressure. The parking lot could use some repairs and one of the entrances is so steep that most people drive all the way around to use the other one to keep from bottoming out their vehicle. There's a persistent issue with dog poop on the grass since pets are allowed. Most people clean up but there's those few who don't and it will ruin your shoes and your day just as much as it does the grass. There's lots of visitor parking, that's a bonus! There's a pool as well as a shared bbq pit (it's as gross as it sounds) but it's closed for most of the year to save money despite Texas having great weather almost year round. The insides of the apartments are about what you'd expect, off-white walls and brown floors with low ceilings. Some of the apartments have exterior laundry rooms which really is a bad design. There are no ceiling fans or even lights in the bedrooms, so you'll need a lot of lamps unless you like living in the dark. There was a murder in the parking lot on May 31st, 2020. It's normally a really nice place though.

The new manager on property is wonderful. She wants to help you fix your issues as quickly as she can. She is straightforward and honest. I can see a real change in the community. Lately I have seen much needed repairs and outdated apartments being renovated and updated for the better. I am glad Summit has been bought out and taken over by Waller Group Properties.

I just moved to Huntsville about a month ago and chose Summit for the convenience to town. The on site manager is friendly and very helpful! Any issues I have had, she has been able to address and get resolved quickly. I also love that they provide pest control!
