March 15, 2022The people who work here are all very nice but living here is not what I'd hoped it would be. It's noisy with sirens always blaring day and night. There is nothing that reminds you that you live in the beach area or the esteemed Point Loma area. Since I moved in last July the complex has had to deal with different irritants that have made it a place that next time I would not choose to live here. It's partly that I think I just don't do apartments . I do not plan on re newing my lease at this ...time.Property Manager Responded

February 1, 2022The Summit at Point Loma is in a great location, very walkable neighborhood, and conveniences nearby, as well as reasonable rent. The landscaping is lush and inviting. Pluses include: parking garage, no need for air conditioning, at least on the ocean side. The apartment layout is nice, reasonable amount of space where it's needed, the large windows let in plenty of light and air and view, would be better if they were clean. Appliances are worn, carpeting on the shabby side. The noise level is ...rather high, most of that is uncontrollable (like street noise). There are apparently no rules concerning the numerous resident-owned barking, whining dogs that cause constant disruptions day and night and leave their "deposits" on the stairs and on the grounds. Some of the more practical amenities could be improved, for example, more than two washers should be available for use by 20 households. The management is mostly helpful but sometimes difficult to deal with.Property Manager Responded

It is my first experience living in an apartment (at over age 65) and I am pleasantly surprised at how safe and comfortable I feel. The personnel are always friendly and professional. The staff are very friendly and the management team continues to goes above and beyond for those who live here. Parking is a little rough because there's only one parking space in the garage and the rest is street parking but if you can get past that I truly believe that this is one of the best places to live. October 14, 2020The Summit has been a nice place to live so far. The building has been here since the 70s but the units have been updated with modern living in mind. The floorplans are open between the living room and kitchen, making the unit feel larger than expected. Another great feature is having the bathroom sink/vanity separate from the toilet/shower. Not only does it look nicer but it's easier to keep each space clean.
