Months of Noise Complaints, No Resolution

Unfortunately, my experience living at The Thomas has been incredibly disappointing and has ruined my 2026 so far.

reviews on here highlight as well), and the sound insulation between units is among the worst I’ve ever experienced. I work from home, and the overhead impact noise from the apartment above routinely begins around 5:30 a.m. and continues into the evening. Despite months of documented complaints, the issue has not been meaningfully resolved.
The property is also very pet-friendly, which may be a positive for some residents, but it has contributed to my experience. My neighboring unit frequently leaves their dog on the balcony for extended periods, resulting in constant barking, and the balcony has repeatedly been used as a place for the dog to relieve itself without cleanup.
To the staff’s credit, everyone I’ve interacted with has been polite and professional. My frustration is that responsiveness hasn’t translated into effective solutions. After months of complaints, the proposed resolution was for me to pay an $800 transfer fee to move to another unit rather than receive a proper solution based on the ongoing issues I reported since days after moving in.
I’ve lived in several apartment communities throughout Columbus, and this has been by far my worst rental experience. If having a quiet home is important to you, especially if you work remotely, I would strongly encourage you to explore other options before signing a lease.
