It's a nice area but some of the apartment units have not been remodeled so you may end up with an older model. I wish this was explained better but I was not able to check my unit due to coming from out of town and only after I signed my lease since my selection was done over the phone assuming I was getting a remodeled unit.

Review of The View at the Crown Ridge
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel it’s necessary to share my experience so that anyone considering living here has all the information and can make an informed decision.
Unfortunately, I have had several negative experiences during my stay:
1. Maintenance and repairs:
• In January, due to low temperatures, a pipe on my balcony burst, causing damage to the storage room. To stop the leak, they cut two holes in the ceiling. Since then, I have ...
been contacting them by phone and email, but the promised repairs have never been completed. As a result, the storage room has been full of moisture for over a month, and many of my belongings have been damaged. I am paying for a space that I have not been able to use, and to this day I have not received any solution.
• Other minor issues, such as a burnt-out light bulb, took over a month to be fixed.
2. Apartment condition upon move-in:
• I signed my lease more than four weeks in advance, and even so, when I received the keys, I found the apartment very dirty and with several broken items.
3. Safety and privacy:
• Staff members have entered my apartment multiple times without prior notice; I know this because I have cameras installed. What’s worse is that they leave the place dirty and disorganized (I have attached a photo of my white couch at the end).
• The gates frequently do not work properly, so they remain open and anyone can enter.
4. Services and amenities:
• The building’s pool has been under repair for over a year, and no resident has been able to use it.
• Internet service is limited to an agreement with AT&T, with no option to choose a more affordable provider or one with better plans.
In summary, everything related to maintenance, security, and customer service is very deficient, and these problems have been occurring for about a year they are not recent.
My recommendation:
If you are considering renting at The View at the Crown Ridge, my advice would be NO. If you are looking for peace of mind and comfort, this is not a good option. I hope my review helps others make a better decision.

Moved in February, and we absolutely love this place! The pool is freakin awesome and it's in a perfect location. If we want to go out to eat at The Rim, it's 2 miles up the road. If we want to go shopping at The Shops at La Cantera, it's 2 miles up the road. Everything we need is close by, but not right up on top of us. We get to live in a brand new complex in the nicest part of San Antonio, but not have to deal with the traffic and construction on I-10 and 1604. Front office/maint. are all ...

Starting out as a gorgeous view and quartz countertops, the nice things quickly get overshadowed by its poor upkeep. There is always trash in the apartment breezeways and large pieces outside of the dumpsters as it never seems to be emptied often enough. The grass is cut way too infrequently and no one cleans up after their pets. It wouldn’t be too much of a problem if there was enough grass to actually own a dog here. The clubhouse is nice, but don’t be fooled by the premise of free WiFi there. ...
It seems like the router is in a shed out back because you won’t get signal. Inside the apartments, the kitchen appliances are nice, but the washer/ dryer is low quality and super loud. The staff is hit or miss but seems to be trying harder. I want to renew my lease but at this rate I will not.

I had a great leasing experience from start to finish. My main reason for leasing was because they would not stop following up until I said "YES' to the home. Very thorough move in and even had a move in tour which was a first for me. I was shown how to use the access gate, where the pool phone was at in case of an emergency, how to access the clubhouse after hours, where my mailbox was located and was escorted to my apartment home. I would refer anyone to live here!

Just moved in a couple of months ago and couldn't ask for a better place to call home! The front office staff and maintenance are on it and will do what it takes to make sure any issues are resolved. No complex is perfect but the right team can definitely make a difference. Just enjoyed a super fun "tacos and tequila" event where there was a full taco bar and margaritas for us to enjoy. The apartments look nice but the washer/dryer/dishwasher, etc. are really low quality and super noisy. You can hear every step in the apartment above. It's nice that they allow all dogs, but there is hardly any green space to walk them, no dog park, dog wash,etc. I give it 2 stars since the amenity center is nice

Many of the tenants are sloppy, leaving trash and other junk on their patios and large furniture items in front of a trash compactor that seems to be overflowing pretty normally, making the entire complex look trashy. Rules regarding valet trash placement are rarely enforced, and the quality of the tenants is subpar. Maintenance is slow and unreliable. Additionally, the office staff can be rude and unprofessional.
