Avalon West Long Branch
September 4, 2015Beautiful space and convenient location near Monmouth University. Just five minutes from the beach and five minutes from the Parkway. Small manmade pond with abundant wildlife. 24 hour gym access and outdoor pool for the summer. The staff here is incredibly responsive and caring for all tenants!Review from Apartments.com
NEVER, EVER, EVER RENT HERE!!!
July 25, 2015Avalon is the worst place I've ever lived. While they do a very good job keeping the complex looking good, the place is very sub-standard. I'm handicaped ans the entire complex is non-compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. A suprise since the complex is only about ten years old. The complex has basic construction/design faults. Several of Avalon's cookie cutter complexes have burned to the ground because of the poor design and lack of fire breaks within the wood framed walls. ...Could be a death trap. Then there is the management. They nickle and dime for everything. Tenants must pay 50 bucks per month for each parking space, 50 bucks a month per pet and pay for waste disposal in a town who provides curbside pick up at no cost. It's outrageous for Avalon to charge all of this. These people actually have the nerve to charge rent for sub-standard housing, which does not conform to federal law. They are a criminal enterprise until they bring the buildings up to compliance, which they refuse to do. All of their contracts are null and void due to their un-lawful status. The Borough of West Long Branch NJ is also to blame. They allowed this complex to be built and continue to grant certificates of occupency for the units while looking the other way as to the ADA violations. Avalon is a great place to live!
August 19, 2015I've lived in Avalon West Long Branch for almost 5 years now and its a great place to raise a family. Pet friendly and very kid friendly! Its a quiet community and it has a family atmosphere. Front office staff and maintenance staff are more like friends. I'm always greeted with a kind hello. Large courtyard with grills, pool, and 24hr fitness center make living here a dream! The community is well maintained and and service requests are resolved promptly. I highly recommend renting here!Review from Apartments.com
