      • Could be worse I suppose

        I do not think I would ever recommend this apartment complex to anyone. For the renovated apartments, it is a decent price for the appearance (new appliances, fresh white trim, etc.), but I’ve learned appearance isn’t everything! They do not fine for not picking up your dog poop - it’s everywhere! You can’t step foot in the dog park without stepping on some. It’s also all over the complex as well. There are many aggressive dogs, and they do not enforce keeping dogs on leashes. My corgi was ...
        attacked multiple times by other dogs, to the point where he became afraid of other dogs. Thomasbrook pays for heat because the windows are terrible. Mine had a crack to the outside between the panes, and during the winter I would get ice on the inside of my apartment. The office does not do a great job at answering calls or responding to emails. Our hallway constantly smelled, and the doors are so thin so you can hear everything going on in the other apartments. I give it two stars simply because you cannot beat the location and access to Holmes Lake. At first glance it looks like a great apartment with a great value, but the finishings are so bad (there was grout on my shower faucet) and it is so poorly managed that I would recommend looking elsewhere, even if it means paying a little more.

      • Poor management and sneaky money taking

        October 14, 2020
        The main office never picked up my calls and never returned any of the multiple voicemails I would leave. Also, they will take any bit of money they can so make sure to read all of the extra fine print. I spent a whole day deep cleaning my apartment spotless for move out and they charged me for an unnecessary professional clean after the walk out inspection was stated that only the carpets and oven needed cleaning still. I was told and approved the professional carpet cleaning but nothing more ...
        than that as it was not necessary. Definitely can find a better place than here to live.

        August 30, 2018
        Some apartments have been updated while others are showing their age (built in the 70's). Be aware that they will positively keep some of your deposit. Check the lease--you have to clean the carpet when you move out or they will charge you to clean it. You can do better for your money.

        Never more than a few minutes from any part of town. Apartment complex off main roads and setup so that most of traffic is only those that live there. Community feel, but still a sense of privacy. Lots of green space surrounding all the buildings. Pleasant and efficient staff.
