April 30, 2022The extra perks we received in our apartment: Mold infestation that needed remediation 2 weeks after move in, leaving us without heat for 3 days. Dirty carpet full of animal fur. Razor blades in our dryer. Water damaged ceiling. Looks absolutely nothing like the advertised photos, probably was last updated 10 years ago. Tears in the vinyl flooring. Windows that provide a nice breeze, even when closed. Paint splattered on floors, fixtures and cabinets. Broken kitchen light. Burn ...marks on the countertops. So Far, So Great!
April 12, 2022I'm in to my 1st month & so far, I couldn't ask for a better experience. The staff (Alyssa has been my most frequent contact, but they ALL have been very responsive & helpful). It's been so long that I've had to live in an apartment, I'm trying retrain my brain to do normal things (like not leave my keys in the lock, remember my garage door opener, find my mailbox key), so they have treated this idiot with great service. I had a non emergency this weekend where I managed to lock my car (with ...the key taped to the garage remote) in the garage and Seth came out and set me free. He didn't have to as it was late Sunday, but he did it any way of which I couldn't have been more appreciative! My neighbors are great, quiet and friendly, so maybe I got lucky there, but the staff here (and I really do actually like the apt I'm in a lot) alone is above and beyond.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Awful experience.
September 8, 2016I saw the bad reviews but knew it would be temporary and it was the cheapest available at the time so we went with it. We have had an terrible experience and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. First the actual price is 2x what the online price is unless you are signing a very long lease. The application process was lengthy which I expected and was ok. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything. Our smoke detectors even kept falling out of the ceiling from people above us walking around. ...But that's part of apartment living. When submitting work requests it takes 5-7 days to fix and it doesn't always even get fixed. That's a lot of quarters at the laundry mat. We had a lot of trouble with sink leaking and dryer which we delt with but was never totally fixed. One huge issue was the lack of parking. I work late and weekdays always had to park on the other side of the complex or up by the office. With subpar lighting it is very uncomfortable walk at night. Also sprinkler system is on all the sidewalks so it is hard at night to get across the place without getting wet. Also playground is not well kept and has broken pieces that have multiple scraped shins for us, no major injuries. One huge frustration is that they are only about the income and money. They randomly added a garage cost to our cost 2 months ( which jumped from 50$ when we initially inquired about it to 75$ that we were billed) and despite leaving when our lease is up as initially agreed they are expecting us to pay an extra 2 months past our lease!! Our piece of heaven
September 26, 2015I'm a single mom of two amazing daughters!! It's just the 3 of us. We love our place, it's 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. My oldest daughters best friend lives in the neighborhood and my youngest has made so many friends. We love the pool, playground, fitness area. It's close to stores, downtown and work. This is the biggest bedroom my younger daughter has ever had! We feel happy, creative, safe here. Such a friendly staff too!Review from Apartments.com
Not worth the money
August 9, 2015Timberview has been purchased two times in less than a year. Your lease will go up sometimes more than $100.00 at the end of your lease. Which if you are going to charge that much for an aparment then make the changes to make it worth it. The grounds are unkept, garbage is everywhere. There is no parking, tenets will park in the grass and on the side of the road. This is the standard apartment complex that only cares about how much money they can make. July 30, 2015Where do I start? They allow most bog breeds, those breeds that normally won't let you live in a nice apartment. Rent is not over the top for what you get. Quit streets but yet still right in the middle of things. Great mix of young and old people that get along. Mins from the classic Grand Haven state park. Fitness room, pool, kids play ground and availability garages. Maintenance crew is polite and helpful and respond quickly. Only down fall is you can not have a grill unless you live one the ...first floor. That's obviously for safety reasons but they do provide free grills to use under their covered pavilion.
