January 7, 2025I strongly advise against moving to this area in DC. The environment is overwhelmed by crack smoke filtering through the vents and a troubling front entrance. It's a hotspot for anger, filled with constant fighting and chaos. On top of that, there's a neighbor who frequently yells throughout the night, creating an unbearable atmosphere. Each summer brings a fruit fly infestation, while winter welcomes roaches. I can tolerate many issues, but crack smoke and roaches are unacceptable. Great Apartment Living
August 23, 2022The Gale is a very nice apartment living. To me keeping the building clean is very important. I find the carpeting in my building on my floor is horrible. Since my new apartment is near the trash bin, I’ve seen roaches! Now that makes me afraid that they will come into my apartment. Never had to deal with that problem. I pray that it doesn’t. Great Place to Live!
November 15, 2016The Gale Eckington has thus far surpassed my expectations. I love my apartment, it is SO much better than my old one and have a lot more cabinet space than I ever anticipated (which is awesome!). I was a little nervous not seeing the place beforehand and only the sample apartment, but it has surpassed my expectations. I could not believe how clean it was! I was prepared to do my own wipe down. Again, exceeded my expectations considering my family owns a commercial cleaning company, therefore my ...standards of cleanliness are higher than maybe most and I was blown away! Unlike other management companies I've rented with, the team at The Gale actually communicate with each other and work with you, which is beyond refreshing. Best apartments in DC
August 3, 2015I've been so happy during my stay at the Trilogy thus far. It's nice to finally be in a building where I only need to call maintenance once every few months to fix a my garbage disposal or switch out a lightbulb. I've had such a relaxed stay with the amenities -- the pool is great for hosting small events with friends, the community room is cool when you're bored on a weekday, and it's nice that I don't have to worry about being home for small packages. I highly recommend this place considering ...it's convenient location (right next to Noma metro) and spacious layouts. August 16, 2015We've lived at Trilogy NoMa for about two and a half years now, and our experiences have been mixed. Pros : Located near the metro Dogs and cats are allowed Community areas are pretty nice (2 pools, grills, billiards table, screening room, etc.) Rent is cheaper than most of the other buildings in the area Cons: There's not yet a lot in the way of shopping, dining, or entertainment in the area You can hear noises from other apartments VERY easily. ...The apartments are not insulated well. Management ruined the dog park by replacing the grass with large wood chips that are gross. There are sometimes very loud groups of people causing commotion late at night. Lovely place to live
August 5, 2015I love living here, Ive been here for 2 years now. The amenities are great, pools are lovely, space is amazing and well worth the price. The only 2 cons I have is that the roofs and floors are paper thin. I can hear the person's phone in the apartment above me vibrating, I can hear them walking. Its the most annoying feature and a pretty big thumbs down depending on who you are. The other con is the location of the pools. Both are on the ground floor, and bearing in mind how thin the floors are ...thats probably a good thing. lol. Rooftop pool would def be alot better. A solid residence in a great location
July 24, 2015Trilogy NoMa is a set of three buildings in a great location - steps to the Metro red line, a slew of buses heading in all directions, walkable to Union Market and a Harris Teeter, and easy access by car in and out of the city (via the B/W Parkway or Hwy 50). If you don't mind a longer walk (~20 mins), you can easily stroll to the bounty of U Street/14th Street, as well. New bars and restaurants are opening regularly, and the neighborhood is home to some new D.C. institutions (like DCity ...Smokehouse), as well as a variety of classic, small businesses run by longtime residents. Late at night you'll need to be aware of your surroundings, particularly if walking alone, but that's not unique to this neighborhood. Trilogy itself is a nice, comfortable place to live, offering all the amenities of the higher-end apartments recently built in D.C., including two fitness centers, two pools, 24-hour security and concierge, valet trash service, parking (for a fee), and a free shuttle to and from the metro during rush hour (weekdays). Residents vary from young singles new to town to mid-life couples thinking about buying a home, and even some families with young children. Pets are welcome (for additional rent), and there are dogs everywhere (including in the Trilogy-specific dog park!). The units are nice: they don't have the largest square footage, but the space is used well. If you're a cook, the kitchens are terrific, and the units with dens provide a great office or guest space without much additional cost. The two-bedrooms are enormous! Pricing is fairly inconsistent: when we moved arrived in 2014, we were offered a 13-month lease with 1 month free, prorated over the length of the lease. Upon renewal in 2015 we were offered a slightly higher base rent, but with 1.5 months of free rent, immediately (not prorated). We heard that others were able to snag 2 months free, but recently we have first-hand knowledge that some units were increasing in price without concessions of any kind (which remain standard in D.C. in these types of buildings). Management is also a bit inconsistent: there's a continuously rotating group of people employed in the front office, and policies seem to change at a moment's notice. They're not always great about communcating with residents, nor do they seem particularly willing to adopt suggestions that residents provide. I love it but has a few negatives
July 23, 2015I've been living at Trilogy for over 14 months and I love it. Amazing location with walking distance to metro, adjacent neighborhoods that have great restaurants and a bike trail. There's two pool, one which I refer to as the party zone and the other the serenity pool. There's also two gyms and a dog park. In addition to all the great features, there's a shuttle bus to/from the metro that operates during rush hour. Overall, I have been pretty satisfied living here. July 21, 2015Trilogy NoMa is a relatively new building complex, about an 8-minute walk north of the metro in the NoMa neighbourhood. The apartments offer new and aesthetic facilities, with common areas including grills, 2 pools, 2 gyms, working areas and even a movie theatre room. If you take advantage of the leasing specials, you can get yourself some pretty good deals! Management is pretty good at sorting out any issues, although, this being NoMa, there have been several thefts reported - mainly of bikes in ...the street. As an area, NoMa is up and coming with new bars and restaurants popping up around the area, Union Market just across the train tracks and you're about a 20-25 minute walk from downtown...
