Building security declines after complex allows people to Airbnb
April 27, 2024My experience with this complex has been nothing short of infuriating. Their lax approach to background checks for AirBnB renters (last time I checked our agreement, which didn’t allow us to rent out our apartments) has resulted in a community where accountability is virtually non-existent. Countless times, I've returned to my car in the parking lot only to find new dings and scratches, with no recourse to prove it wasn't my doing, all because of their negligence in screening tenants. The ...employees here are the epitome of laziness, showing zero initiative to improve the living conditions or address any concerns. When approached with issues, they deflect blame onto the residents, as if it's our fault for expecting basic maintenance and repairs. Living here offers no redeeming qualities whatsoever; it's simply a black hole for your hard-earned money. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a living situation that actually values its residents and maintains a semblance of accountability.Property Manager Responded

Complex is beautiful! Leasing office is awful.
July 9, 2021I toured this complex recently. It was so beautiful! However, the leasing staff are incredibly unresponsive. I called and emailed multiple times just to make an appointment for a tour, and one of the times I called they picked up to immediately hang up the phone so it would stop ringing. After my tour (which only lasted 10 minutes...) the leasing staff said they'd send me an email with all the information on how to apply and all the fees. However, I never received this email. Having not yet had any maintenance issues, I can say that so far, the management is fantastic. Reports of poor management at some of the nearby luxury rental properties actually led me to rent here--residents consistently provided excellent reviews. April 6, 2019Apartment searches can be exhausting with so many properties to view, so many amenities, pools, and more. Tempe is a growing city with apartment communities coming up all over the city, most of which cater to the collegiate level renter which started to wear my search. Everything else I've seen was immediately out of my mind when I discovered Novel Rio. The building is a timeless mix of contemporary flair with warm mid-century appeal that is continued throughout the whole property. All my needs ...were instantly met; being a smoke free building, off leash dog park, rooftop with fire pit, intimate pool area, large parking garage, I could go on forever. Once I walked into the model one bedroom I fell in love. The finishes and fixtures are unlike anything I've seen, it truly feels like the home of my dreams. Nest thermostats help keep my home cool or warm when I am away, a free assigned parking spot, soft close drawers and even a tankless water heater so I can take as long of a shower as I choose!
