Make sure they inspect the unit with you before you leave!!!
August 7, 2020Extremely unethical. When I moved out, they told me that they're charging me over 190 dollars (170 dollar cleaning fee + utilities) despite leaving the apartment in pristine condition. When I asked about this, I was told that the apartment was clean but they had to clean again for sanitary reasons and that the 170 dollars was something that they charged to everyone as STANDARD practice. They said nothing about my apartment not being clean enough. I complained about this as although the contract ...does state that additional cleaning fees will apply (at reasonable cost) should the apartment not be cleaned adequately, it doesn't state how much that will be (again, they didn't say my apartment wasn't clean enough). Basically you're saddled with a very unreasonable expense the moment the property management decides that your apartment isn't clean enough without you knowing how much it will be. I was told when I moved in that as long as the apartment is reasonably clean, there wouldn't be a problem. I call a week later and they changed their words; saying that the apartment was very good, but that it didn't meet their standards. Worst thing? they don't even inspect the apartment with you - which they're required to do according to the contract. Once you leave, they'll hold on to your deposit till you're long gone then hit you with a bunch of fees. They probably did this to make sure you can't argue with them when they hit you with a cleaning fee. It works for them - they get to clean the apartment to their benefit at your expense. For anyone moving out, just be aware and make sure they inspect the unit and give you the OKAY before you leave so they can't go back on their word. Maintenance is good, but the property is old. While I was there I encountered doors that won't close, door screens constantly popping out (ended up not using the balcony because of the screen door issue), blown water heater. Repairs are prompt though and for the most part, effective. Also pleased to say that their exterminator service is also quite good.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT
June 11, 2017This property is very poorly managed. It is getting very run down. All the railings have peeling paint. The pool is usually dirty or closed. It is very noisy. The manager Becky is terrible. Bring back Lily, she was the best. She actually got things done. Since she left it has never been the same.Review from Apartments.com
