A nice apartment close to shopping
July 27, 2019I work in Kenwood and moved into Twin Pines about a year ago. The management is great, property is kept very clean and the apartments are newly renovated. I can’t complain, it’s a very nice place to live and I plan on renewing my lease in September.Property Manager Responded

Twin Pines the quiet place
May 25, 2019Here at Twin Pines we are in the midst of a extensive rehab. Three entrances with the main in the center emptied into a large empty box with 70's floor tile. Now the lobby has new wood grained laminate flooring, artwork on the walls, benches with an elevator wait table, and large plants. The doors lever knobs make entry with hands full of bags easy. I have a balance problem which lands me in a wheelchair most of the time. from the parking a slight rise to the large front doors and directly into ...the elevator without big thresholds or the need for assistance. My apartment has very nice wood grained vinyl flooring which again makes an easy roll. Every floor has it's own laundry room with new machines that now use a prepaid card or phone app. No more hunting or saving quarters. I am happy here and plan to stay for the long run. Speak with a resident when you visit
December 8, 2015Overall disfunction, poor communication between management and residents, and the extremely dated building should be warning enough of the terrible living arrangements at Twin Pines. Personally I have experienced multiple "Maintenance Emergencies" ranging from a broken refrigerator to a large leak in the ceiling that are not finished being repaired after 8 months of back and forth with the management. What they lack in facility upkeep (of the nearly 40 year old building) they make up for with ...false promises and inconvenient office hours. In addition to the units numerous health and safety concerns the parking lot is frequently crowded and myself and other tenants have reported multiple "hit and run" accidents to the property manager and local police, who all say "because the incident happened on private property there is nothing they can do" Giving this complex the minimum ONE STAR rating is being generous. Had I known what I would be getting into in the beginning of this never ending nightmare, I would have postponed my moving or slept in my car till I found something even slightly better. Even putting my rent payments in Eskrow was not enough to Motivate the property managers to get things done or prevent cutting corners that ultimately cost me in the end. As my title suggests, be sure to find someone, anyone who lives at the property, and ask them any questions you have and for their personal opinion on the complex. Even though it is relatively easy to get out of your contract, the complaints of bedbugs, personal property damage, and the complex being defective health and safety Hazzard you will be making a costly mistake if you fall victim to Twin PinesProperty Manager Responded
February 6, 2019I'm sorry that you did not have a good experience here. In July of 2018 Towne Properties took over management of Twin Pines and since then we've made some big changes including: Adding a building coordinator onsite to tend to maintenance and resident concerns 24 hour emergency maintenance Installing 16 cameras inside and outside of the community Updating the first floor common area, including the art, flooring, lighting, elevator, leasing office, and hall carpets We have the rest of the hallways scheduled for upgrades this year Updates to all four laundry rooms, including new card readers, flooring, lighting, walls and ceilings We are doing an average of one home upgrade per month, and will continue until all homes are updated I hope if you're ever in the area you give us a second look. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the changes and improvements we've made to the community.
