There is no soundproofing in the entire complex

If you're thinking of moving here after June 2020, I strongly recommend you do not. The apartment complex has removed all carpets from the second floor apartments and has refused to put in any sound proofing. You can hear everything the neighbors above you do. You can hear them talk, walk, be intimate. God help you if your upstairs neighbors have kids. We've been complaining for months but the apartment says the cost savings are worth my family's misery. So I'm warning you, find somewhere else. ...
You are going to be in for a special hell, whether you live on the first or second floor.
