August 24, 2025I live here and can confirm that the pool is in the same condition it was in May. If anything, it's worse because routine maintenance and groundskeeping is also not done in the pool area.Review from Apartments.com
Pool not as pictured
May 14, 2025For those expecting the sparkling pool area pictured, prepare to be let down. Chunks of tile have fallen off the inside of the pool and they didn't bother to replace them before filling up the pool and opening for the season.Property Manager Responded

Disappointed, looking elsewhere
April 13, 2025Toured this property recently and was surprised it was so dated for the rent they charge. Hallway carpets need to be cleaned or replaced, and the outdoor common areas looked really worn and dirty. Disappointed
June 23, 2024Upkeep and maintenance of amenities has really gone downhill this year. Pool was clearly not cleaned before filled and is often filled with leaves. Courtyard furniture is dirty and decorative lanterns, etc, have been broken for months but not removed or repaired.Property Manager Responded

Loved Living at Vanguard

We looked at many apartments before deciding on the Vanguard and now that we've been there over a month we have no regrets whatsoever with the decision that we made. Fabulous place, great staffs!
December 10, 2016Because of work, I just moved to the Saint Louis and found this apartment. So far staff members are all really nice and kind. I had tons of boxes coming from New York but thankfully, staff delivered to my room. Service was fantastic. The nest, mirror TV in the bathroom, and control to the entrance door were really handy. And you are going to be surprised how good their lobby, swimming pool, wine cellar, and more are! It was really luxurious and well made. Lastly this community has variety of ...events for residents! Vanguard Heights, We're not in Kansas Anymore!
November 14, 2016From the moment we walked into the lobby of Vanguard Heights, we knew it was the place we would call home! There's not a yellow brick road or any horses of a different color but the office and property are the best managed I have come across to this day. Our application process was smooth and the office had almost instant replies to all of the questions we had before and during the process. We are all moved in now and happy to say we LOVE the place! Great Property, Staff Needs Some Work
November 7, 2016Vanguard Heights is a beautiful property with great amenities. I love the location and my neighbors. I do have some concerns about the staff. Every time I turn around there's someone new in the office. I don't normally like to mess with people's employment but the office manager leaves a lot to be desired. Not only is she incredibly rude to the staff (maybe this has something to do with the revolving door of employees) in front of the residents, she's also very passive aggressive with the ...residents. I've witnessed this myself on several occasions, as well as heard similar stories from my neighbors. I love my apartment and everything else about Vanguard.
