January 30, 2026I’m leaving a 5-star review because I was ultimately helped by another associate who was absolutely phenomenal. However, prior to being assisted, I wasn’t greeted when I arrived. There were three employees working at the time, and although Gabrielle was available, she did not greet me or ask if I needed assistance. I had to wait until the other associate finished with a customer before I received help. Poor Maintenance and Management
January 24, 2025This is the worst apart complex I’ve ever stayed at. I called for maintenance to come out to fix my air conditioning unit, dish washer. They came out once and said they fixed it. It went right back out in 2 days. I called again and they said they will put a work order in for me and nobody never showed. Water started to return back into my apartment, black mold was behind the sheet rock that they painted over. The wall started to fall apart and my 1 year old was staying there with me as well and ...started crawling through all of the sheet rock and water and I had to get him and leave the place because they never fixed anything. September 3, 2024I have stayed here for many years. Luxury apartments without breaking the bank. Nice scenic view and great amenities . I enjoy being able to walk to local shopping centers and Shakespeare park. The property manager is so attentive and friendly. I would give these apartments a zero
November 11, 2023The apartments are falling apart, has bugs refrigerators leaks peeling ceiling gook in the garbage disposal and tub was not properly sealed or refinished. They will show you the model apartment and make you think the apartment that you are getting is going to be a nice apartment and you get the cheap did not bother to get the apartment ready. Do not waste your time or energy to rent from these greedy people. All they want is your money and they will take your money. They will get you to sign ...a lease and will take you to the cleaners because they do not fix anything and you will be stuck until you end your lease or move. They will continue to do the next person the same way. The manager and the management doesn't care nor do their staff about how they treat people or their tenants. Worst Place to live
February 9, 2023when I moved in they just washed the old dirty carpet and the day before I suppose to move in and it was wet, they gave me the key to check the appartmant and I wasnt able to chech the appliences and then the next day I moved in and nothing was working including AC, shower,Oven , Sinks was full of dirt and the kitchen and the whole carpet smells so bad I have tried to do all the fixes and mainanace and cleaning by my self I tried to call them they did not sent me any mainance and I have waited a ...month for them to fix. the worst decision made in my life to signed contract for a year with them.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Pictures will fool you
March 31, 2022These apartments are old and need to be rebuilt. Every day I wake up there's a new crack in the walls (BIG CRACKS). The technicians don't take their jobs seriously at all. The exterior of every apartment building and the lobby areas are filthy and need to be pressure washed. They will move you in without cleaning up or fixing problems that the last tenants left. I literarily found a baby picture that the last tenants left behind in my kitchen on the top of the kitchen cabinet. Multiple tenants ...that I know had a problem with their carpets. When I moved in the carpet already had Kool-aid stains on it, which means the carpets weren't replaced. Also, a carpet guy that cleans the carpet told me that the carpet is old and he tell the past tenants smoke and had a dog. For the past year, my apartment has been infested with ladybugs. I use my vacuum cleaner to get rid of them and then the very next week there are 30 more on my window flying around. I told the technician about this problem and he told me the Leasing office has the same problem too. Basically saying so what, that's your problem. The walls are literally paper. I can hear my next-door neighbors complaining every other day about somebody cheating. I can hear and feel people walking up the stairs. I repeat I can hear and feel people walking up the stairs. Also, I hear when people's conversations that they're having in their cars from my apartment. THERE'S ALSO A DOG THAT BARKS ALL DAY AND NIGHT THAT KEEPS ME UP. The bathroom is filthy. I clean my bathtub with bleach and the cheap paint that they use to paint the tub was stripped and now my bathtub looks terrible. It already looked terrible from the start, but now it looks like they got the tub from a junkyard and reused it. They had to have one of those homeless people that are always on Eastern BLVD paint the bathrooms because there are so many stroke marks everywhere. Also, they didn't clean the walls at all before they painted, so there was hair in the paint and other remnants that were left on the wall. Also, the paint looks like primer paint. I believe the bathroom was supposed to be white, but whoever job it was to paint the walls never finished. I did a spring cleaning, so I took out all the drawers in the vanity. When I did that I found so much junk in there. I found multiple scrunchies, hairbrushes, makeup brushes, baby bathtubs toys, 2 diapers and a bag of red-colored weave/extensions. Wonderful place to live!
March 12, 2018I loved Vaughn Lakes from the first time I saw it! The grounds are gorgeous and very well kept up with beautiful lakes and fountains My apartment is just as amazing. Rent is very affordable, I have appliances like new, my microwave was even brand new. It is very spacious and I have a wonderful lake view unit with peaceful fountains, ducks, even other other wild birds. My building is very quiet without any unwanted loud noise or disturbances. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I dealt ...with Valencia who went out of her way to make the leasing process and transition go very smoothly. April 14, 2016I have lived out here almost a year and today someone gets killed out here! Before I moved out here I asked had anything ever happen out here and I was told no but standing outside with some of the residents today I was told there had been two previous murders out here so that makes this one 3. I love my home
September 16, 2015Vaughn Lakes Apartments is a wonderful place to live. I have never stayed in an apartment that I thought I could possibly live in forever until now. The complex is very quiet and the staff is the best. The apartments are very very spacious. Unfortunately, I had a pay cut and I'll be moving next year, but I'm really going to miss it. My son just told me today that he never wants to move.
