Lived here for years, many plumbing issues, and somebody broke into the mailbox a few years ago and I had to go to the post office for over a month to collect my mail. They have ZERO cameras in the common areas, would not recommend for the price they are asking.

Living here is a pleasure, Great views of Mission Bay and nearby shopping is a dream. Love the pools, gym, and the dog run. The grounds are routinely maintained. The staff here is efficient, professional and friendly. I have lived here 7 years and would highly recommend living in Villa Monair.

I've lived in a lot of different apartment complexes and I can say that Villa Monair has by far the best staff I've come across. From the office staff to the maintenance staff, everyone is super friendly and they've addressed any issues I've had right away. It's quiet, well kept and just overall a nice place to live. I've been here for over 3 years and I have no plans to move any time soon

We love living here. The location is conveniently close To the 5 freeway, restaurants, groceries, and under the 10 minutes to PB Pier.
The amenities are great too; multiple pools, laundry on site, small gym, doggie area that’s fenced in.
The office & maintenance staff are the real icing on the cake - super friendly!

There's a couple perks to Villa Monair. It's in a good location and it's pet friendly (not without a hefty fee, though)
The cons of Villa Monair are greater. First of all, they have increased their one bedroom prices by over $1k in the last year, literally during pandemic times showing they only care about money.
If you are active and want an apartment gym, don't even bother here. The gym was cleaned ONCE my entire time in a year I lived there. The floors were dirty all the time and the gym is ...
constantly neglected. Minimal equipment, dirty.
The barbeques have never been cleaned by maintenance. Constant washers breaking down. Elevator broken. The pools aren't heated. Front desk person LC is condescending, literally asked me "what do you want" instead of a nice hello when I went in to ask a question. Don't recommend this place.

I have lived here at Villa Monair for almost 3 years. It is beautiful but the amenities which we pay a lot for, are never kept up to expectations in a timely manner. The amenities were a draw for me when looking for an apartment, but since the owner(s)/management do not keep their part of the bargain, I would recommend not spending your money on this community.

Its been about a year since my husband and I moved to this 1bed/1bath (702sq ft) apartment and we LOVE it here! Its a nice quiet location but still has easy freeway access. The area is amazing and convenient because it is so close to Mission Bay, Sea World, PB, Mission Beach and a short drive to Fashion/Mission Valley, La Jolla, Balboa Park, and downtown! Its also close to Clairemont, multiple grocery stores, Target, Starbucks, Costco, etc.

-beautiful view of the bay
-spacious layout -3 pools and 1 small gym
-walk-in closet -elevator
-huge bathroom -night security and security cam
-laundry facilities on each floor -very pet friendly
-Mostly gated assigned parking (Easy street parking since its by a residential area.)
Cons:
-limited cabinet space in the kitchen
-no dishwasher
-occasional ants
There is not much I can think of for the "cons" list. The only reason we're thinking of leaving is because rent increased $125 per/mo at our renewal. However,I think its just the area in general that increased. We've felt very safe and happy here. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Great apartment to live at. My husband and I moved to this 1bed/1bath of 722sq ft a couple months ago and we enjoy it. For those with pets this is one of the few affordable pet friendly and safe place in the area.
Pros: huge bathroom, wood flooring, spacious layout, beautiful view of the bay, very green, and there's a private dog park for tenants (we don't use it but we pass by often and it looks clean and well maintained).
Cons: no dishwasher, awkward cabinet space (most of the kitchen cabinet ...
space are either too small or too high to reach), not all of parking space is covered (our isn't and unfortunately we also got an awkward parking space right in front of the dumpster-hard to explain but its makes it challenging for parking), no guest parking.
