I read the reviews and I disagree
November 5, 2025I moved into the apartment over a year ago. I saw the reviews and was skeptical. The new management is great. The building is older and it seems that is the residents who were used to the old management style that have a problem. The front office team has been great and Justin is very understanding and considerate. The building has been slowly but surely getting more improved. My unit is extremely nice from the others I have toured in the area. The maintenance team they currently have are very ...quick now that the resident portal sends the request straight to them. I would not recommend
September 9, 2025I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Despite paying an additional deposit due to being displaced by a hurricane, maintaining perfect rental payment history, and providing a proper 30-day notice, I was met with an exorbitant charge to leave my lease early—something I had no control over due to a serious medical diagnosis (lung cancer). The apartment was returned in impeccable condition, yet there was no understanding or flexibility shown by management. Throughout my time ...there, the property was poorly maintained. The fitness center was consistently unusable and left in disarray, and many nights were disrupted by children running and screaming through the halls and landings with little to no intervention. The rent is extremely high for what you actually get in return. In my experience, there was little concern for tenant comfort or well-being, especially for those of us who take care of our homes and pay rent on time. I believe this complex needs to rethink how they treat respectful residents and handle difficult situations. STAY AWAY
November 9, 2024Laundry rooms are always dirty and machines were broken for weeks. Property manager does not work the property and has no attention to detail. Stair cases are filthy. I’ve never had roaches before in all my years living in Florida but I’ve battled with them here. Place has a pool but no lounge chairs to be actually able to enjoy the sun. Area around dumpsters is always very dirty. We are constantly having to complain about things that are common sense to have in order.Review from Apartments.com

Terrible Pace to Live Currently
November 30, 2022We are long time tenants of the former Grenada Gates but will not be renewing our lease with the new ownership. The office staff is nasty and rude to the remaining tenants and do not give notice of entering apartments when it's not an emergency as the law requires. The dumpster area is filthy and fly ridden. The noise is horrendous as they gut the empty units. Perhaps in the future it will be a good place to live again but with trying to make a silk purse from a sow's ear because the building is ...old and they want to make it upscale, only the wealthy will be able to afford the rent to pay for all the renovations..Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Poor Management/Doesn't seem to want to rent
October 16, 2019I have contccted this place in the past and again most recently. Tony the manager seems to not like to discuss anything over the phone or creates so call wait lists even though on several websites showing availability. I have decided this is their loss and will never recommend this place to anyone. If you need info be sure to go in person and hope that he has the office open. August 16, 2015I've been a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area in Florida and have lived for over 10 years at my current complex, Granada Gates Apartments. One of the many factors that i love about this complex is that it's staff is extremely friendly, also to mention they live on site. They're very knowledgeable about the building, the structure, land, location, what it takes to maintain that Florida essence. The staff is very helpful and offers assistance to both residents and their guests during various ...times of needs. In addition to staff, the floor plan and design is perfect and accommodating for either a single person to a medium size family. I currently live in a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath and love it here! The rent is perfect and still below the expectancy of other apartments within a 25 mile radius. I recommend Granada Gates Apartments to anyone who considers moving to the St. Petersburg, FL area!Property Manager Responded
