If I could give zero stars, I would.
My family moved into this community expecting a safe and habitable home. Instead, we discovered bed bugs almost immediately after moving in. We reported the issue right away and fully cooperated with every instruction given to us. Despite doing everything requested, the infestation eventually made its way into our bed and sleeping areas, causing sleepless nights, anxiety, stress, and significant disruption to our family’s daily life.

experience even more frustrating was the constant changing of options and expectations. Various solutions were discussed, including transfer options and lease termination. We were asked to make major decisions under extremely short timelines while trying to protect our belongings and find alternative housing. After uprooting our lives and meeting every deadline that was given to us, we were later presented with additional paperwork and conditions that had never previously been discussed.
Throughout this process, we documented everything. Photos, videos, communications, pest control visits, and conversations were all preserved because of how serious this situation became. As tenants, we did exactly what we were supposed to do: report the issue immediately, cooperate fully, and act in good faith.
The most disappointing part is that this entire situation could have been handled with far more transparency, consistency, and compassion. No family should have to move into a new home only to spend their first days dealing with an infestation, worrying about their child, protecting their belongings, and scrambling to figure out where they are going to live next.
The property itself may be beautiful, but a beautiful property means very little when residents are left feeling unsupported during one of the most stressful situations they can experience. Prospective tenants should do their research, ask detailed questions, and make sure they fully understand how issues like this are handled before signing a lease.
