July 23, 2025I gave proper notice and then I got a bill for $1600 additional saying I didn’t give notice in the proper time. I did. The lady in the office when I went to give my letter was later fired for incompetency. If you ask me they are all incompetent. I tried many times to discuss this matter with them, via phone calls, personal visits (office is usually closed) emails and even sent a certified mail to both the Villas and Sunridge, which they ignored. Now they have sent me to collections and no one ...will talk to me! Sounds like others have had the same problem. On another note, they never fix anything. My bathtub was deeply stained at move in and I was told it would be fixed, along with my screen door. It never was. Also, the outside hall lights were out for six months. Try going home at night to a totally dark hall! Scary!Property Manager Responded

place sucks
December 31, 2018My room mate moved out so i couldnt affored to live their went to office my lease says 850 early move out but Wendy told me i have to pay 1500 to move, she was so mean to me about it. Then she made me pay 30 dollars for closet carpet to be cleaned my apt didnt have ant carpet, I clean it all up clean window,baseboards and they still wanted to charge me 60 dollars for cleaning and my 300 depoist didnt go anywhere dont rent theirProperty Manager Responded

Very nice place to live
October 24, 2017I lived at the Villas at Bon Secour for a year and have had little to no complaints. I love that the community is gated and right across the street from the sports complex. There’s a large dog park which is ideal for me and my furry friends. The office staff and maintenance are always so kind and considerate of me and really took their time to explain everything to me at move in. It was clean just as promised and located RIGHT by the pool!!! Maintenance requests were always done on time and are ...even available after office hours for emergencies. Sad I had to leave for work reasons but if I ever move back down to Gulf Shores, this is the first place I’d come!Property Manager Responded

Place is a gated DUMP!
August 27, 2017It looks nice from the road, but once you live here for awhile, you realize big mistake. My family and I should have read the reviews. The reviews are TRUE about the management, staff, maintance personel, DRUGS, ect.... Our unit was never cleaned when we moved in. It had mold all throughout the unit. Cabinets delaminating. Oven/stove broken. Air Conditioning is faulty and had to be serviced regularly due to a leak in the system. All these items were to be corrected and never were. Drugs are ...everywhere. Have been solicited for drugs all the time. Gates broken too many times to count. And pool is usually green. Wrote to corporate office on several occasions and never had a response back. April 24, 2016I have been reading some negative reviews about the Villas - I don't agree with most of them. I have lived here a long time, and I love it here. It seems to me that the only people who write a review have some problem - the rest of us don't say anything. I just want to go on record that the staff here care about the residents, and they do a great job. Villas at Bon Secour
August 9, 2015I live in the smallest one bedroom apartment which is approx. 648 sq ft. There is no dining room which was ok with me when I first moved in because I realized I rarely sat down at the table and ate. Since I have lived here for 1 1/2 years and will be here another year I wish I had chosen the one bedroom with the dining room but hindsight is 50/50 right? I love the huge bedroom closet! I actually have a desk, drop leave dining table and chest of drawers in there along with my extra bedding, ...clothes, luggage and etc. Love the closet as you walk into the apartment, laundry room is nice size. Large living room! Huge window and French door that leads to an enclosed yet rather small patio. But so glad its enclosed! Kitchen is way to small, not enough cabinets and no place to prep foods, I would like to see more shelves/cabinets inside the laundry room. Bedroom is a good size. One window has a sitting area and my small dog loves laying there. Bathroom is huge, large enough where I can keep a chair to pull up to vanity and put on my makeup. Water pressure is horrible! It's hard to get all the conditioner out of my hair, the water pressure is so low that there is not enough water coming out for me to take a bath because the water gets cold by the time its mid way up to get in. I love taking a warm Epsom salt bath after a stressful day at work and have not had in since I moved in. So that is HUGE factor for me. I was told the water pressure so poor in each unit so no where for me to transfer too. Ceiling fans in LR and bedroom are a plus so is the crown molding. Appliances are original from when unit was built 10 years ago and in long term rentals they tend to where down quickly. Need new ones but doesn't look like that will happen anytime soon. Huge turnover in employees. Property was just sold to new owners and management company. This company does not have a staff person to pick up grounds like the other one did so there is always trash around the property and will a "pond" for the ducks at least that area should always be free of debris. Turn around time for maintenance to complete a work order is large. I went 4 months before my dishwasher was fixed and I still have issues with it from time to time. Cannot hear my next door neighbor at all but hear the upstairs neighbor all the time! Something you deal with in an apartment. Police are out here a lot and I was told by maintenance there was a fight with guns at the pool.Property Manager Responded
