Grossly Overcharged at Move-Out
November 18, 2021Trust the bad reviews, please don’t rent here! We had an okay experience during the two years we lived here despite the normal apartment inconveniences. The walls are super thin and we could hear our neighbors every move.The maintenance was typically very responsive. The shelving unit in our closet fell out of the wall due to faulty installation. When maintenance came to repair it, they did not paint over the huge spots because they told us our unit was due to be repainted after move out anyway. ...We were set to move out in about a month so we didn’t worry about it. We were charged $350 for not cleaning up a small amount of dog poop which is excessive but that was what we agreed to when we registered our dog with them. This review would have been much more positive if it hadn’t been for the excessive charges they throw at you at move-out. We were charged $5,000 for vinyl floor replacement, carpet replacement, and repainting of the entire unit. I cleaned the unit top to bottom and there was no damage. The carpet came up in corners when we would run the vacuum over it. They charged us to replace the vinyl flooring in the entire unit because there was a 5'x5' area where our dining table/chairs lightly scratched the flooring. Like other reviews state, the move-out statement was sent to RentersAdvocate which offers to help you dispute these charges. After their “investigation,” Vineland Carriage Homes stood by their charges and claimed our damage was beyond normal wear and tear. Pictures provided by Vineland were poor quality, black and white photos that made it impossible to tell what "damage" they claim we caused. They were also mailed to us after the charges were sent to another collections agency that we had to pay instead of RentersAdvocate or Vineland. They essentially charge you to renovate the entire apartment unit when you move out and the only way out is to go into debt or seek legal assistance.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great Community
June 24, 2020It’s a great place to stay. The buildings are well maintained and the staff is helpful. If available you might want to consider a unit with a garage (winter). One of my better housing choices.Property Manager Responded

Great Place 2 stay
December 9, 2019Resident for almost 2 years. Staff is helpful and straightforward. They are luxury 4 thos area. If they were in Tampa where I'm from they would be in the middle. Professional complainers will alwaze complain. Decent location to get to Fort Knox, hot Louisville and etown...A bit pricey however u get what u pay for in the location ur in. New Management is Horrible!
July 4, 2019The increasing price you pay to live here includes absolutely no maintenance or services. The new management refuses to acknowledge normal wear and tear and will end up taking your deposit one way or another. Since the change in management, I have not had one good thing to say about the place. They raised rent, added random fees, offer nothing in return, and communication is horrible. The office had no idea where their spare key to my apartment was, which is serious safety and professional ...issue. They are simply there to collect your money and offer no customer service. If you do move in, you need to take note of every scratch, stain, and dent because they will charge you for it in the end. I also recommend calling them relentlessly to fix problems and documenting it, otherwise they will claim you didn’t report it and once again, you will be charged. Very Satisfied
December 19, 2018Since the day that we applied for our new apartment we have been extremely blessed with the service we have received from the staff here. We were even able to meet the maintenance guys who were very informational. We have lived here for a few months now and so far it has been great. Yes, there is a train track in the back, but if you look carefully there is a lumber yard across the highway and they have a business to run. My only concern would be for one of the neighboring residents that has a ...surveillance camera in their garage. It is uncomfortable to walk by and feel that I am being watched. I would highly recommend this apartment community, especially with the location of it too. Easy to get to work or go grocery shopping. Huge thank you to Jes and other staff! It is very hard to find a decent apartment community when being a military family.Property Manager Responded
