Poor management
January 24, 2026 - Review from Apartments.comVivian was the manager when we moved in. She specifically told me the only utilities we paid for were gas and electric. We later found out. We also pay a portion of water, gas and sewer which added up to sometimes $400 a month extra. The guy in charge of our move-in kept moving our move in time and sent our lease while we were driving with our things to move in. We felt very rushed because they wanted to leave early for the day ((they never are in office or answer the phone ever.)) they were ...annoyed that we wanted to view our unit before signing a lease. managers are very unprofessional and unorganized. after a year of living here they decided we were only receiving one free parking permit which meant we paid an extra hundred dollars a month for parking permits… we like to walk outside, but there is dog poop everywhere and it was disgusting!!!!!! Maintenance took 4 months to fix our washer. Dont expect to get your security deposit back. Also when you move out they leave no instructions for leaving keys or last check. Anything that had to do with management was a joke. Over all our unit was comfortable and most of our neighbors were great. But would not recommend moving in unless you go thru lease with a microscope way before move in and don’t mind the smell of dog poop everytime you go outside.Read More

October 30, 2023 - Review from Apartments.comIt has all of the amenities that we value, including washer/dryer in unit, central air, and really nice, new, stainless appliances(refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and flat top stove). Everything was very clean upon move in and we even had brand new carpet. Although the buildings are older, they take good care of them. Maintenance and management are always very responsive, friendly, and take care of any issues we have right away.Property Manager Responded

Drove 30mins out, then the lady said, oh we don’t have any available right now. So why did your staff tell us a time and date? So disrespectful and unprofessional. Train your staff better before wasting our gas and time.

How about homeless/drug addicts freely riding their bicycles roaming through the property? Do you want to be woken to the sound of jackhammers because they decide to tear up the sidewalk outside your apartment? At least give some notice. There are so many other things that need to be fixed. Where’s the 24 hour patrol? What does management even do here? Good luck ...to new tenants, you’ve been warned. Imcompetency through and through
April 12, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comMy bathroom started to leak from the ceiling light fixture, called the management office before they closed, spoke to RUBEN and have been waiting since. Turns out, they decided to leave for the day! This isn’t the first time we’ve been let down by Vista Pointe, but this sure is the worst experience I’ve had to endure. No emergency maintenance number is provided anywhere and when we got a hold of some 1-800 number (the only after hr number that could be found), we were basically told “good luck” ...and hung up on. UPDATE: it’s been over 3 hrs and 15 min since we had originally reported the water leak to the office before they closed. The maintenance worker who said he’d arrive here (and this was only because we called the 800 number and the corporate management office repeatedly, not from our original call to the office with RUBEN) in 25 min did arrive after over 80 min. He left to get ladders, that was 42 min ago. Ceiling is still leaking, leaving the only bathroom we have unusable. By law, this makes a dwelling “uninhabitable”.Read More
Very Bad Place to Live
March 11, 2016 - Review from Apartments.comTill around 5 months back, it was a great place to live. But since the new management took over, it has become one of the worst places to live in Covina. Very BAD Management and office bearers and they have made the whole community a mess. The Previous Management made sure that they kept the premises neat and clean, they listened to the residents issues and complaints. But the new management is so irresponsible, never gives importance to the opinions or complaints from residents. In the name of ...beautifying the community, is creating a lot of inconvenience to the residents by noise, dust, paint etc. The lawns are never maintained and there are dog poops everywhere. There are several cats roaming around the whole community. Not at all kids friendly. They do not allow kids to use scooters/cycles/stakeboards in the premises even though it is allowed as per the lease rules. Picnic areas where picnics are not allowed. Washers and driers mostly does not work properly. For the rent they demand, it is not worth that much money. Will definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place.Read More
