Convenience isn’t worth it
July 31, 2024I lived here for three years and loved it at first, then management changed and the quality of resident’s lives plummeted. I have voiced all the below complaints to staff and not a single one was addressed or fixed. The maintenance team is awesome, but their resources are limited by the office staff. I wouldn’t rent here if Francis Properties is still managing. Pros: • Location is awesome • Cheap for where it is Cons: • THE AIR CONDITIONING. Vista Ridge only guarantees to cool your apartment 10 ...degrees colder than outside. Meaning when it is 105 outside, they don’t care if your apartment is 90. I contacted maintenance multiple times over this and they said the complex is too cheap to upgrade to newer AC models. • Staff WILL nickel and dime you. The online payment portal was down when rent was due, I provided screenshots of their website not working to staff and they still charged me a late fee, claiming that I could have paid with a check, even though I was out of state at the time. • You can hear the highway all day and night. • The mail frequently gets stolen. • Car break-ins are rare, but the complex doesn’t do much to prevent it • The staff changes codes to gates and doesn’t notify residents • The staff focuses more on “community events” than upgrading apartments • Not nearly enough space for petsProperty Manager Responded

Maintenance crew are phenomenal
February 10, 2023I’ve only been here a couple months and had only a few requests. But when I have, they were answered within a day usually. Todays request was handled the same day! They are very helpful and courteous. The other staff are great as well and always willing to help.Review from Apartments.com
Not safe! Negligence!!
November 17, 2021Not safe at all. Someone stole our car this morning and thankfully our car has the tracking system and we were able to find the car! They didn't caught the person though but this place is not safe at all. Both gates in front were open early in the morning we waited for it to be closed and it didn't so anyone can just pop in! Mail center break ins like 3 to 4 times this year with "security cameras" and haven't resolved this so whats next Entering inside our apartment This is negligence! Oh but ...they love to charge us extra fees right So frustrating! We are waiting for the offices to open for the report.Property Manager Responded

You wont find a better place!
April 13, 2018I lived in a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom of the the course of 2 years here and I can honestly say you will not find a better apartment in San Antonio, or the state for that matter, for the price. I did have some very minor issues, but that happens when you're renting rather than owning and think things should be done a certain way. Staff - 4.7/5- You probably couldn't find a more knowledgeable staff or friendly staff. That includes everyone from the property manager to the groundskeeper. The only ...reason I did not give a 5/5 was because I had issues with the move-out process, both times, that I didn't agree with. After sitting down and talking with the staff they saw my side and I saw theirs and we were able to come to a mutual understanding and agreement. As an additional note, I can be particularly difficult to deal with when I feel I'm being taken advantage of, but I commend the heck out of this staff for being able to handle it in the professional manner that they did. Location/appearance - 5/5 Located right next to The Rim, La Cantera, 6 Flags, and Top Golf with 2 grocery stores right up the road, this location especially in this area is perfect. My wife and I had everything we needing within a short drive. The property is very well maintained. There are a few times when "Pet droppings" got a little out of hand, but the office sent out notices and the issues was usually resolved with in a week. Parking - 4/5 I personally didn't have an issue with parking unless it was an over packed Saturday, but I did notice other parts of the property that were limited in available parking. Not a huge issue. Maintenance - 5/5 This really gets a 10 out of 5 because that's how good this maintenance team is. Most of my work orders were fixed within hours, granted 99% of them were simple fixes, but even the big projects took less than a week. Apparently our tub was leaking on to the bathroom below and we didn't realize it. The maintenance team found the problem, resurfaced our tub/shower and patched the hole in the wall in less than 72 hours. I cannot say enough about these guys. Conclusion- You WILL NOT find a better apartment in a better area for a better price than this place, and believe me, I tried. Amazing Complex
September 20, 2015Vista Ridge is the best apartment complex I've lived in and there has been many. The staff is very friendly and are ready to answer any questions or concerns that you have. The complex is very clean and the apartment floor plans are very spacious and can accommodate anyone's needs. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone who is in the market for a new place to call home.Review from Apartments.com
Living at Vista Ridge
July 21, 2015On your drive home from work you end up getting cut of by at least three other drivers on I10...one of them almost took out the car next to you as well. This is a typical drive, but work was long, and youre pretty tired. You glance over at the traffic going on to 1604 and smile. At least you dont have to sit in that for 30 mins! You continue on I10, and take the exit past the Rim and La Cantera Pkwy. Easy, no traffic, and no lights. You ride on the access road for a couple minutes and ...notice they are putting in more high-end restaurants and yet another shopping center. At least your little sister will have something to keep her busy when she visits this year. You pull into the U-Turn lane, bypassing the lights, go under the highway and turn left into your apartments driveway. You reach for your remote and drive slowly pass the gates as they close behind you. Home. You park the car and gather your computer bag and purse. You turn off the car and walk towards your building... which only takes two seconds because there is always a couple parking spaces right in front of it. Walking up to your second floor, two bedroom unit, you can hear voices coming from the pool area and smile. Maybe I'll go for a swim today, you think. You enter your little haven and the tension in your shoulders relax. All the stress from the day is left outside. You are greeted with loving meows from Felix and his brother Oscar as they rub against your legs, glad you are home. You place your computer bag on the built in computer desk and decide to ignore it until tomorrow. You walk into your vinyl floored kitchen and run your hands on the smooth, cold, granite counter tops. Oscar jumps onto the counter and leans into your face while Felix meows at the balcony door. You walk over to open the balcony door and see your neighbors car pulling up. He waves as he exits his vehicle and you smile back. You sit on your Adirondack chair and stretch your feet out infront of you, enjoying the view of the hill country and lack of a city presence. You close your eyes and sigh. Home at last.
