Smoke for a Toddler

If you are considering moving to The Vue at Baymeadows, look somewhere else. This management team operates purely in bad faith, and if you read the other reviews, you'll quickly see they have a history of ignoring residents and giving units the "landlord special" to hide serious problems.
Before we even moved in, management clearly knew the previous tenant was a heavy chain-smoker. Their "solution" was to slap a cheap coat of paint on the walls and do a superficial cleaning to mask the stench ...
just long enough to get us to sign the lease.
Their cover-up didn't last. The smell of stale smoke is so overwhelming that it has permanently seeped into our furniture, and our clean clothes literally reek of cigarettes. I had to submit multiple complaints to a completely apathetic management team just to get them to respond. It actually took me bringing in a piece of my clothing for them to physically smell before they finally admitted there was an issue.
Their grand solution? They handed us a single air purifier. That doesn't actually fix the root of the problem—it just proves they know exactly what we're breathing in.
Here is the most infuriating part: there is a 3-year-old child living in this unit. Breathing in third-hand smoke every single day is a major health hazard for a developing toddler. When I demanded a real solution, they had the nerve to claim they have "zero ability to resolve" the issue. That is a flat-out lie. I can walk around the complex right now and point out multiple empty, suitable units sitting vacant. A simple unit transfer would solve this immediately, but they outright refuse to do it.
This is beyond the usual awful landlord behavior. They are perfectly fine taking your premium rent money while actively choosing to leave a child in a hazardous environment. Save your money, save your belongings, and most importantly, save your family's health. Do not rent here.

Dirty and smells terrible

Terrible service. The photos shown online are nothing like the actual units. The smell is absolutely terrible inside the units. After multiple complaints to the office, they acknowledged the smell from the items that were inside my home, however, have done nothing to rectify the situation and will not let me move to another unit. Do not waste your money or time here!!

Would never recommend this complex. I couldn’t see my unit until move in day when the lease was signed, and I had the keys. There is a massive smoke contamination problem. The unit reeks, and now my possession smell. Leasing office has provided Band-Aid solutions, but hasn’t actually addressed the problem and now all of my belongings are contaminated. Very disappointed.
Roosters on property will affect your sleep

There are three roosters and a bunch of wild chickens that roam this property freely and crow outside of my window every morning as early as 4am. They are very loud and they will affect your sleep if you move anywhere on the east side of the lake. Though I wouldn’t even recommend moving to the other side, seeing as management allows this kind of issue to go on and affect their residents. They respond and say that they will do something, then multiple months go by and the roosters are still waking ...

All the girls in the office are rockstars! They try very hard to make your stay at The Vue a comfortable one. Maintenance does a good job. They just renewed my lease at a reasonable rate and im very happy. My apartment is very nice compared to some places in that area. Keep up the great work ladies!

Disappointed but Recovered

Back in March of 2015 I had reserved my current apartment complex Grand Isle At Baymeadows. I held the apartment from May 16 to May 30. I moved in on May 30 only to discover that my apartment couldn't have been more "ready." I was disappointed in the fact that bathroom was dirty, there was an infestation with roaches, and the sink had a big glob of paint in it. There was more but those where the big things. I didn't understand how they had extra days to finish the last minute touches but didn't. ...
They advertised luxury but it didn't have that same feel. Anyway I wrote them an email voicing my concerns because the times that the complex are open where an inconvenience to me. I wrote the Email on a Monday and by the time Wednesday came I had a whole new apartment. They replaced countertops, painted, and even addressed problems that I didn't mention in my email. I am now happy with this complex and can say that they truly care about the concerns of their residents. Thanks Grand Isle!

This is a great apartment complex that is close to everything. A great Shopping mall is a few miles away, two grocery stores, two pharmacies, several great restaurants and a movie theater too! It is gated and has a great pool area and work out room. You couldn't ask for more!

Grand isle is one of the best apartments I have lived in! They offer so much and are incredibly low priced! The pool and gym just got redone! The gym has locker rooms with jot saunas in each! They are the only apartment on the road which is a beautiful back road view. It is quiet yet fun. We have a 9 month old son and he sleeps perfectly with no interruptions if you are looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom in the baymeadows south side area this is the place for you
