Don't move here
April 20, 2025I live in their floor apartments. They have terrible maintenance of their apartments. When there is an apartment leaking upstairs they just spray the ceiling to get rid of the stain but don't fix anything. The water marks just come back. Also when it rains water soaks in from the wall of the front door into my front room closet and all throughout my living room and dining room. I have lost clothes due to this issue and I can't have furniture because it would only b ruin it. It also does this in ...the hallway of the master bedroom. They take days to come tend to the request. But all they do is have Sams come clean and dry the floor. They never lift the carpet or dry wall to remove any mold that could've set in from all the water that pools in or from the humidity that is created when they dry the floors. I requested for an apartment change the first time it happened and they told me no. I requested they come and check for mold they didn't do that they just said they sprayed a mold spray. Maintenance also does not give notice when they are coming even when u have asked to be notified first before entering. I've been having many issues since moving here that they barely take care of, they do bare minimum work and don't fix anything really. They also have an issues where there are a lot of ants, spiders, and cave crickets keep coming into the apartment even when the doors aren't being opened.Property Manager Responded

From bad to worse
February 23, 2025In my opinion, this property does the bare, bare minimum, if that. Communication and customer service are rancid. Lots of leaks and other bad stuff. Recently, the building housing the laundry facilities was shutdown down over safety concerns and/or violations. Total dump, disaster area. Poor Communication, Poor Quality, POOR EVERYTHING
January 4, 2024I have no idea how this place has 4 stars. EVERYTHING in this place is run down, outdated, and poorly maintained. There were holes in my shower basin. I only got about five minutes of hot water, and when asked if maintenance could do anything about it, I was told to "Get in faster." Whoever painted my unit had NO IDEA what they were doing, as it was done incredibly poorly and there were drips of paint and splatters EVERYWHERE. The carpet was dingy and smelled awful. The fireplace was not properly ...maintained and therefore I constantly had bugs in my unit. This is on top of communication being absolutely non-existent. The people who work here are extremely careless and ignore their residents consistently. None of the amenities are maintained well nor clean. This place is the bare minimum of livable conditions compared to every other apartment complex I've experienced. DO NOT LIVE HERE!Property Manager Responded

Great location, not so great apartment
January 27, 2021When I first moved into the apartment back in June 2020, it was dirty, and there were empty soda cans and sunflower seeds on the floors in the bedrooms and their closets. All of the paint on the baseboards around the apartment were chipping off and the bathroom walls had white spots where they had been patched and never even painted over. The office staff said they could have everything redone but that I wouldn't be able to stay in the apt while they did it becuse it would take a few days. That ...was not an option so I just had to deal with it. Maintenance is not quick to resolve issues at all. I have been missing blinds since I moved in back in June 2020 and the drain in the guest bathroom has been broken for over 2 months now. Hard to give up the great location for my daughters school and my work, but definitely not satisfied with the condition of the apartment.Property Manager Responded

Horrible Place Do Not Move Here
July 20, 2020Everything about this place is bad. From the inside to the outside of the apartment. When we first move in the apartment inside was never clean, had spider webs, the toilets were dirty, the tubs were dirty and the blinds were never clean. MOLD INFESTSED - DO NOT MOVE HERE
July 9, 2020I've been living here almost 11 months (my lease is up in August and thank god that it is). The staff here sucks. Maintenance sucks. I had to put in 3 or 4 work orders just for our window blinds replaced (they were supposed to be replaced upon move on). Our apartment has the loudest HVAC system in it, seriously like a freight train. It was supposed to be taken care by the time we moved in, fast forward to now it and it still hasn't been fixed. Even after countless work orders in, talking to ...the office about it,and even contacting the Somerset Apartment Management. The HVAC system in 12371 APT J is so loud that it shakes our kitchen cabinets, beds, couches and chairs. It wakes us up in the middle of the night. It can't even run properly. We have to have it set at 73 degrees in the summer because if we go any lower than that, it doesn't shut off. The other day I came home from work at 3:30, it was running when I walked in and didn't turn off at all. I switched it off at 11:30 just so I could go to sleep. Who knows how long it would've kept running if I hadn't turned it off. But then you wake up sweating because it's so stuffy in the apartment. It doesn't cool all of the rooms properly (which they also knew about and were supposed to fix) The office told me there is nothing they can do about the noise because "it's just an old system". MOST OLD SYSTEMS NEED TO BE REPLACED. I've played them recordings of it and they still do nothing about it. I don't know why they would think anyone would want to live there with it being so loud you can't think straight. Not to mention, it also leaks water! The pipes connecting to it overflow and drip on some electrical wires *SAFETY HAZARD*. The inside of the system is FILTHY! It's covered in dirt, dust and what I'm assuming is MOLD! Absolutely horrible. To imagine we're breathing that in, but they can't do anything about it because "it's old". I've sent them pictures of the mold too and they still don't do anything about it. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT HERE. DON'T MOVE INTO 12371 APT J. DON'T MOVE INTO THE COMPLEX AT ALL. I feel bad for the person who is going to get this apartment after me because they'll have to go through what I've gone through and they won't get any help from the horrible staff here.Property Manager Responded

November 28, 2019Stay away from this place. Crimes happen regularly here. Back in June, a streaker was spotted along the lake in addition to a few gunshots. This past month, somebody crashed their car onto the property (drive down Tempo, see for yourself). Damaged the building. The apartment that you get will not look like the unit they show you. Don't be fooled. Majority of the complex smells like weed. Police also hand out tickets for expired tags. Walk around the parking lot at 2am and will do it. Maintenance and facilities
October 2, 2019I encountered a number of maintenance issues that were not fixed correctly (multiple maintenance requests had to be put in), in a timely manner, or were not taken care of. One such instance caused my roommate to have to sleep on the couch for over a month. The laundry facilities were often smelly, with numerous broken machines, and had large water puddles. Run far away from here
September 17, 2019Where do I start. Laundry room is disgusting, humid, most machines are in-operable. I had my clothes stolen from the laundry room. Buildings are old and cheap. You basically hear everything in this place. If you enjoy waking up around 3am to hear a neighbor getting it pretty good, then this is the place for you. Community has a lake that usually floods after a heavy rain. That's one perk.Property Manager Responded

They don't care

Poor place
May 21, 2019I have been living in this apartment complex for ten months but the apartments are very old and the air conditioners are bad. The maintenances work are very bad. I had a leak in the bathroom in the upper floor and it took time to fix the problem and since then the roof is still open and they told me that I have to pay if I want to return the part From the ceiling, the staff are very helpful especially Mary and her colleague in the front office , I think her name is Lisa but there is one of ...the staff she is so rude and foolish . There is no privacy in the house.One of the maintenance worker came in and took photos of the kitchen and rooms without my permission. He also changed the outer lock of the door while I was out. My children backed from school and Stayed in the street for half an hour , When I and my husband were outside. I would not recommend anyone to stay here.
