Welshwood Apartments

bedroom is the icing on the cake! There is always parking. Sometimes if you're coming home late at night you might have to park farther away from your building but there is always a parking spot in the parking lot. I would work 2nd and 3rd shift and I could always find a spot. Theres a pool and it's maintained nicely! The buildings are older and so they require more frequent maintenance. I felt like the maintenance men were always quick to fix problems. I only had a couple of issues inside my unit and they were fixed quickly. The maintenance men are so friendly, they would always say hi when I was out walking my dogs. Management is also very friendly, and they do whatever they can to help. When I found myself needing to come back, I was told "Welcome back home!" And it really does feel that way, like I am getting to come back home.

crisis. Water is brown, and dirty and not suitable to shower in or consume. Today, I accidentally used some of the water and became very ill (think stomach flu kind of ill). I’m currently researching my legal options, and looking for a reputable real estate attorney in the area. Additionally, they allow residents to smoke in their apartments despite the clause in the lease that clearly states smoking in the apartments is prohibited. So if you move here, and aren’t a smoker, be prepared to have your clothes, furniture, and closets reek of cigarettes and/or marijuana. And when you tell the leasing office about this they do absolutely nothing. Again, this is a legal clause in their own lease that they will not enforce. The ladies in the office are cold, unprofessional, and uncaring. They waste paper printing messages about the most nonsensical, arbitrary things, but will not send communications out to residents when lease clauses are being violated…There are also issues with bugs including a recent bed bug infestation. There are other issues as well but it would take too long to cover them all. I say all of this to say, I understand the skyrocketing costs of rent may make this place seem appealing. Rising housing costs is the main reason I am stuck here unfortunately without much of an option to move out. But understand you will get what you pay for at Welshwood and it’s simply not worth the depression and frustration that will surely come once you’ve settled in. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, there are plenty of other apartments in the area (some a bit more pricey) but are way better than Welshwood. I’m sharing this lengthy review because I wish when I was looking at apartments someone would have been transparent about what it’s really like living here. It would’ve saved me a lot of time, wasted money, and heartache. I’m utterly miserable living here but there’s not much I can do about it right now. Just wanted to share, and good luck on your search!

unaccommodating tone and told to just “go boil some water”. This place is absolutely horrible and if it weren’t for the pandemic I would have moved out last year. My biggest regret is deciding to stay here instead of just leaving. Please don’t waste your time or money with this dump
