October 12, 2015To be fair, West Park in comparison to all of the other complexes in town, is nearly the best you can hope for & that's sad because of many reasons. The parking is a constant headache because it isn't assigned. There's uncovered designated visitor parking but management refuses to enforce it so tenants typically wind up being forced to park in uncovered parking away from their own apartment in horrible weather conditions, including rain or 120° heat. Carrying groceries or laundry makes it worse. ...No paying tenant should endure that. The automatic gates are constantly broken. Plumbing is atrocious & the toilets are usually clogged. The staff is rude & lazy. Specifically Pam. She's also prejudice. The walls are paper thin. They break federal law by having the mailman bring them your US mail so they can monitor who's receiving mail at your address. Plus the mailman is forced to deliver packages to the leasing office only instead of your front door. If the office doesn't recognize the name, they will return your package. They refuse to fix anything until it's time to renew the lease. Plus EVERYTIME lease renewal comes around, your rent is hiked by $50-$100 depending on the term you select to force tenants to select longer terms. Living there 3 years. Rent began at $801. Now $1000 for a 2 bed 2 bath. High turn over rate. Kitchen is so small you can't turn around in it. Leasing office staff will watch you while in the pool & complain about a little child wearing shorts instead of teeny bathing suit in a world filled with perverts. Now the positive: It's conveniently & centrally located near everything in town. Directly next door to main post office. Security patrol nightly. Large patios for downstairs units. Our Desert Oasis
September 17, 2015We lived at West Park Villas for over 3 years and it was the happiest years of our new life together as a married couple. The front office staff was amazing and always willing to help and answer questions. The maintenance manager Joel and his staff were always quick to make fixes...not that the apartments needed them. The grounds were extremely well kept and clean and gated. When we needed a new dishwasher Joel assessed the need and made it happen! The apartments, although older, were ...wonderful and virtually soundproof! You could not hear a peep from your neighbors on the other side of the walls. West Park offered free carpet cleaning upon renewal of your lease and free pest control once a month around your unit. West Park has a small gym, movie rentals, pool and spa (I can't even describe how clean and well kept that was), and 2 laundry facilities. Both laundry facilities were cleaned weekly by an outside company and were all working properly. The rent is moderate to higher, for Lancaster/Palmdale, but that's because it keeps the undesirables out. You get what you pay for and we would pay just about anything to live at West Park. On top of the clean grounds, well kept units and friendly staff they have a tenant appreciation day with food and prizes. So fun! After 3 years of living there my husband and I decided to move out with family to save money for a house...and that didn't last long! After 4 months away we are moving back and there was no other place we looked. One of the best...
August 27, 2015Hello Everyone, I am writing this review to share my experience at West Park Villas. I have lived here for the past 2 years and I have to say that this apartment complex is at the top when it comes to safety, friendliness of staff and service. If the previous qualities are important to you in your rental, you should definitely consider West Park Villas. Pros: 1. Neighborhood The neighborhood is very safe. Everyone in the complex must undergo a Background check and a credit check. The community ...has a security code and a remote-controlled gate. There is always a security guard patrolling the apartment complex after 6 pm to make sure the apartments and cars in the parking lot are safe and Vandalism-free. I have seen the staff and security drive away any suspicious individuals and people who try to come in and look through the garbage. The staff is very diligent about keeping people who do not belong there OUT. Residents are working professionals and for the most part friendly and responsible. I have never had a complaint about my neighbors. I have never had a problem with parties being too loud or unruly. The staff are very proactive about preventing problems and tackling them as they arise. 2. Service The Service is excellent. Anytime there is anything wrong with my apartment. The service staff is there the very next day to fix it. They will even fix it if I am not home, if given permission of course. For example, They replaced my leaking toilet the very next day after i made a report. They do allow small pets and do expect owners to clean up after their pets. The trash is always taken out on time. The facilities always maintained and up to standards. The pool is clean all the times that i have went swimming. The office staff is friendly and helpful. They also provide Tea and coffee for any tenant that visits the office. They do have a movie rental service and WiFi near the office and pool area. 3. Facilities Facilities are always clean. Pool is in good shape and jacuzzi is maintained regularly. a small gym that has cable Television. Their office is very modern and offerThe apartments are fairly modern. Staff does one free carpet cleaning every year. They have s a comfortable waiting area. Cons: 1. Prices Prices are a little high compared to neighboring apartments. 2. August 13, 2015West Park Villas is a great gated community to live in. Located right off the 14 freeway and also near various different restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, and post office.
