Issues
January 16, 2023I was recently locked out of my apartment due to a broken lock on the door. When contacting Westwinds Emergency maintenance they only provided me with two numbers for closed locksmiths in my area so I had them submit multiple work requests letting them know I was locked out. I ended up sleeping in my car with no call back. I went ahead and paid for a locksmith and informed the emergency maintenance line that I was having him open the lock and that they would have to just replace it later. I go by ...with the invoice for the locksmith and am told that I am not able to be reimbursed because the two people that wrote up my service request with westwinds did not say it was a lockout event even though I made it very clear. The gentleman that fixed my lock was professional, but I know to avoid property management now with any issues.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Rip off
September 17, 2022Back at the beginning of August I applied for an apartment they took $100 application fee out of me and a $200 deposit when they took the application they already knew from my income that I would not be approved but they still took the money anyway I was to give my $200 back it's been over 6 weeks and I still have not got any money back and no one will return my phone calls so customer beware they will take your money knowing that you cannot be approved because you don't make three times the rent ...Plus including the utility separate and then they take your money and turn you down anyway and you have to fight for your deposit very on professional professionalRead MoreReview from Apartments.com

Apartment living with country atmosphere
February 3, 2021After looking at several other complexes; we decided on West Winds. The idea of not looking at the highway or shopping centers (like some others we toured) really appealed to us! We love the trees that line the driveway as you enter into the complex. It is located in an area that allows easy access to a variety of grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants and highways. 20 minutes from Hampton, 10 minutes from Norfolk allows for easy commute. The pool is very nice (pre-COVID...it was not open this ...summer due to the restrictions) We enjoy living here and have referred others here, also.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Love where I live
February 12, 2019I love where I live the staff is outstanding the property is beautiful and I love how involved the community our maintenance staff is friendly and prompt. The staff is always doing something for the residents and have a great summer program to keep the kids busy.
