Dramatically Overpriced
January 17, 2024There’s a no smoking policy that is not enforced. The property requires you sign a mold waiver prior to moving in, as in you will not sue them over the mold they know is present. The neighbors cook and the smell of their food is pungent and always present, especially at night, when it wakes me up from a sound sleep, burning my nostrils. The toilets are over fifty years old. The furnace is also antiquated. It has broken several times in three years. Management is a revolving door and truly doesn’t ...care. DO NOT RENT HERE!!
May 1, 2020wall outlets are terrible, plug something in and it falls right out have to practically tape the plug to the wall so it wont fall out. carpet has screw and bubbles from old flooring due to poor rehab. management is unhelpful and uncaring of residents. poor sound insulation.can hear neighbors walking/talking/cooking. would highly recommend anywhere else but here!!Property Manager Responded

Great place to live if you’re a smoker
April 12, 2020Whisper hollow apartments is in a very convenient location and the maintenance staff is wonderful. However, i would NOT recommend living here if you have asthma/allergies or if you simply don’t want to live in a unit that reeks of cigarette smoke and weed. My neighbor smokes both on a daily basis and it’s gotten to the point where my furniture and clothes smell of smoke. Smoking cigarettes in the unit is permitted and smoking weed is supposedly prohibited, but no action will actually be taken ...against the offender and management will start ignoring your emails and phone calls about the issue rather than resolve it.Property Manager Responded

A place that cares about the tenants
September 30, 2019I have been renting different places for the last 10 years and finally found a place that gave me peace of mind. The property is in a perfect spot with schools, shopping, health care, highways closeby. The service is performed timely and always check back whether it was done to our satisfaction. The office staffs are very professional and communicate very well to our queries and requests. Highly Recommended Community!
September 29, 2019We've really enjoyed living at Whisper Hollow! Being by so many highways lets us get just about anywhere in the area quickly, and we love going down to Creve Coeur Park to walk around the lake. On top of that, the office and maintenance staff members are very attentive and professional; they're quick to respond to any messages and the property manager has taken the time to get to know us during our time here. Lovely living
September 29, 2019Living at Whisper Hollow has been a wonderful experience for first time renters like us! We had a few complications with our move in (which was already a few years ago! Crazy how time flies!), and the staff worked with us to ensure everything went smoothly. Since then, we've really come to think of Whisper Hollow as home, and a community we take a lot of pride being a part of. The amenities are great - especially the pool! - and the location is awesome! Excellent Complex at affordable price!!
September 10, 2019During my last 2 months here, all we see is excellent customer service throughout. We had a bad start here but the staff helped us get settled in every way possible. The staff are very professional in dealing with any problems/communication. Any maintenance issues are fixed within 24 hours. There are constant updates to the property. Great neighborhood. Great Local Staff!
August 25, 2019I’ve lived at Whisper Hollow for many years. When I moved in, we had a beautiful clubhouse (with rustic lodge décor - complete with a stone fireplace), coffee bar, Otis Spunkmeyer cookies baked daily, a book exchange, and free DVD rental library, full access to the clubhouse 24 hours a day/7 days a week, daily national and local newspapers. I enjoyed all of those amenities, but the thing I enjoyed most was that many of the residents would gather on weekend mornings before the staff arrived, and ...share coffee, read over the news, chat about current events or our experience living in the Whisper Hollow community. We made real life connections and sometimes gathered at the pool in the summertime to share fellowship and/or BBQ. Everything changed when our present regional manager arrived. The clubhouse was redecorated. They took out that beautiful stone fireplace and put in drywall and a candle. The bar was replaced with a picnic table. Except when the office staff is present the whole top floor of the clubhouse is now closed. There is no year-round gathering place for residents to come together & share a cup of coffee-unless you want to do it during office hours, which generally correspond to our working hours. The office is closed on Sunday all day. In addition, we no longer have newspapers, No cookies, No 24hour coffee. The DVD library was sold off. The Book Exchange was removed. The one and only time I communicated with the regional office, I sent an email to them about an unreasonable rule. The rule was rescinded. However, the regional management didn't even offer me the courtesy of a reply. In fact, the young lady (no longer working here) who gave me the email address was reprimanded for giving out the email address. Rent went up 6% this year, double the normal increase. Is this our new normal? The great thing about Whisper Hollow is its local staff. Our manager is Top Drawer. All of our local staff are professional, responsive, competent and courteous. All maintenance requests, large and small, are addressed within 24 hours. They really do take pride in their work. I have the utmost respect and appreciation for the whole crew. Without the wonderful local staff, this place would be nothing special.Property Manager Responded
August 27, 2019Thank you for the positive review. After carefully reading it, I would like to respond to some of the recent and not so recent changes that you mentioned. The coffee lounge area was added to provide extra seating for our residents to enjoy the clubhouse. Every amenity added is a high-end finish. This area provides additional seating and a cafe inspired atmosphere with private booths for residents to enjoy and work in a quiet space using our free Wi-Fi, free Coffee Bar, and TVs. We have redesigned the layout of the leasing office and clubhouse over the past few years and in an effort to keep our leasing equipment and our residents files separate, we close the leasing center after hours as most businesses do. Our Regional Manager is available to you or any of our residents if needed. Your Property Manager is in charge of day to day changes at the property. The ABSOLUTE best!!!
August 17, 2019My daughter and I moved in last year and it was our first home together! Appliances are nice and SO much space... Especially the 2 bedroom... The closet is HUGE! The staff here is just amazing. They had helped me through so much I cant even explain... And they always seemed like the genuinely cared about us! They have anual parties and contests to make it fun! We loved it here and only moved for convenience for my daughter and I! I really can't thank the Whisper Hollow staff enough!Review from Apartments.com
