Whitney Towers used to be a nice place to live and now it’s basically a dump. There is constantly something in need of repair in my unit, the HVAC system is barely functional and always stops working on the hottest days and the rent is being raised every year despite the fact that there are zero amenities and zero updates to the units! Now on top of everything else I saw a roach crawling in the hallway today! Do yourself a favor and don’t move here!

I have been a tenant at Whitney Towers in Hamden for several years. It is a great place to live. The grounds are beautiful. The interior resembles a five star hotel. Rich, the superintendent is always making sure everything is running smoothly. It is worry-free living at its best.

Whitney Towers is a fantastic place to live! The apartments, common areas, and grounds are very well maintained. Rich, the superintendent is phenomenal and is always proactive if an issue arises. In addition, management is easy to work with. Also, neighbors/other tenants are very respectful.

Don't give it a thought! Roach infestation!

Moving out as soon as possible. Gave notice.
There is a roach infestation and they are constantly scheduling an exterminator who will leave traps all around your apartment.
Rent goes up considerably every year.
Maintenance of inside of building is not good. An elevator is always out of service. Stairways smell like urine which probably came from the college kids that they swear they don't rent to.
My car was damaged in the lot and nothing was done since video cameras don't work.
Had a problem ...
with someone trying to break into apartments.
Apartments are so hot in the winter that we have to open all windows. We never turn the heat on in the dead of winter.
There are much better places but be sure to do your research!!

Clean and well maintained building. Friendly, extremely reliable, and hardworking superintendent. He goes above and beyond for the residents. Noise level is low and I can barely ever hear other tenants from my apartment. A/C and heat are included and the panels on the roof keep my electric costs really low. Definitely a wonderful community to rent from!

I lived here for a year until my job relocated me out of town. I was bummed to leave, this was one of my favorite places I've lived. The walls are nice and thick and I never heard any noise from my neighbors. The neighbors are all very nice. Great heating/cooling system. The super and the office staff are all very friendly. Parking isn't assigned, but there were always spots available. Plus you're right across the street from Eli's On Whitney (great bar) and Eli's Brick Oven Pizza & Market ...
(amazing pizza). Subway, Whitney Garden (Chinese) and Sushi Maki are behind the building too. Location wise you're about a mile away from a bunch of shopping and restaurant options.
