Everything you need is within walking distance and pretty easy to get to .. the mall isn't far.
The old staff was amazing.
But some time recently (after Thanksgiving/Christmas?) the property was sold to a new management company.
This new company is determined to get their money back.
6 months ago, I would have given them 5 stars and a hearty recommendation. It was awesome here and people liked each other and supported each other.... although even then, I was beginning to see more families
...moving out (usually because they bought a house or needed a bigger place to live) and singles were moving in, it got noisier, and fewer and fewer kids. A few big storms did some damage around the place, but they took care of it.
But this new management is not supportive. Oh, the few remaining old staff is still awesome. But the new people ...
This is an older place. The side wallks are wonky and drainage is an issue, often we walked through inches of water for 10 or more feet (black muddy water) before reaching the apartment. ...
Parking is tight, even tighter since they blocked off the outlet to the place next door (not sure who did that). But it is hard to have a big van or truck or SUV. .....
The countertops in bathrooms and kitchen are "painted" to look nice, but this means that they peel as you clean them. And they peel! Everything is just painted over and over, so chipping and peeling is common throughout the apartments. BUT the new management WILL CHARGE you an arm and a leg to redo it!
In fact, the new management charged us 4 times our deposit! After we kept it 2 extra weeks to clean it, steam clean it, and scrub dust out of everywhere
We lived there around the clock for the past year .. of course, the carpets were walked on .. kids ran because it was too wet outside. Without the group of kids, I no longer felt as safe letting my kids outside.
So, if you live there now, or you are thinking about moving in, be prepared to put aside a good $500 to hand them when you move out. Because they will charge you. We left the place in as great condition as we could, we knew the $100 deposit was not refundable. We cleaned for 2 weeks, every nook and cranny in the apartment, blinds, corners, shelves. We had a steam cleaner and cleaned carpets over and over for a week. (This was *new* but very low quality with very little padding, it had taken a beating this year with having to stay home and inside so much.)
