no privacy/place is dirty/ not safe
May 31, 2024Maintenance and vendors come to your apartment every month for inspections but don't be fixing anything even if you are not home. trash barely get pick up over the weekends, they don't answer emails and barely answer their phones. Roaches everywhere. Barely parking at night. Not in safe neighborhood. not their fault but there's always car accidents in the areaProperty Manager Responded

Terrible Service - Nice Insides
January 17, 2023The phone service is terrible, you never get a answer when you call, you show up to the office and its closed early, or no one to help is there, they always say send us email. The maintenance request will auto default and says completed even though no one has entered the apartment to fix anything. The valet trash is unreliable, people will have trash sitting in front of door for 4 days at a time. When the valet trash does happen the workers throw all the trash over the balcony and bags will burst ...in the lobby area of buildings leaving trash all near mailbox, elevator, laundry rooms. The stairwells smell and the elevators either don't work or they are giving issues. I was stuck in the elevator for 15 mins before it decided to open and let me out. The towing is inconsistent, the office doesn't help out with parking if using another car or have a rental. My car was towed 3 times, once because I got new car but the decal and tag was the same, 2nd time was for no reason it was a accident but I still had to pay, 3rd time was my car was totaled I was using a family member car for 35 days (only 14 days allowed for guest parking) I informed them I am using another car while mine was getting fixed they did not offer any help or solution, towed my car. I had to end up using a old license plate and put it on the car every night then register it as guest, ran out of guest days and they towed the car, after I got it back they gave me temporary decal but it was useless because I got my car back the following day. SO in total they have received over 500 dollars from me outside of rent for parking in a location I pay to live. OUTRAGEUOS. The inside of the apartment is nice and spacious however don't depend of them fixing anything if it breaks or stops working. You will have to be careful when outside as I hear gunshots very frequently, my 1st week of living here someone got shot and died in my apartment building on the same floor I live no more than 75 steps away from my apartment. Honestly for the price of current apartments in the Broward county area it is a decent price for the space and inside the apartment. If you looking for pretty and clean and nice this not the place for you, it is in the hood. If you stay to yourself no problems at all. But never let your guard down.Property Manager Responded

Oscar the Grouch Has Nothing on This Place
March 22, 2021We were referred to this complex by one of my closest friends in April of 2020. You know how people say "You never really know what's going on in a relationship unless you're the one in it"? Well, this is one relationship I wish I would have NEVER indulged in. Windward Vista, for starters, is DIRTY. The first few weeks of us living here we saw so many distasteful habits of both the other residents and employees. Dog poop outside our front door for days on end, upstairs neighbors threw a rug over ...their balcony while my sister was on ours, trash is thrown everywhere, people hanging out all times of day smoking, playing music, drinking, mail thrown across the hallways, front doors covered in dirt and mold, kids throwing up in the pool, young girls fighting, people arguing all times of night, crackheads here, crackheads there, crackheads dang near everywhere. It is a really disgusting place to live. They towed my car twice; the first time was 2 days after we moved in. Roach infestation is an issue too. At one point we realized we could smell the cigarette smoke from our next door neighbors because of a hole that was behind our stove. Evictions everywhere. I often skate around the neighborhood as exercise and I can count on almost two hands how many doors had eviction notices. I really can go on and on and on about this so-called "luxury apartment". As a matter of fact, I will. Residents throw baby diapers, garbage, paper, furniture what seems like out their window. These people don't even try to keep their living environment clean. It's like everyone loves the garbage. AND THE SAD PART ABOUT IT, THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO RAISE OUR RENT AS IF WE ARE RECEIVING AN INCREASED QUALITY OF LIVING. One thing about common sense, I was born w/ a lot of it and there is no way on earth we will be renewing our lease here when we have had and still have a horrible, neglectful, unsatisfactory, disappointing, unsanitary, dreadful, experience here at good 'ol Windward Vista. The only people that truly enjoy living here are the ones who are animals and live as such. They don't appreciate anything and the management does nothing to make them do so. If you have children that you love even just an ounce, MOVE OUT. And if you've been accepted, WITHDRAW. Do not suffer like we did. There were times when we DESPISED going outside just because it looked like and felt like a garbage site. By far the worst decision I have ever made in my life.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

April 8, 2020The staff is very standoffish. Ever since I started living here the front door knob has been broken and currently is broken, my car has been tow, and it's roaches everywhere. The lease agent I first came in contact with was pleasant. However the other staff members aren't hospitalable at all. If you really need somewhere to stay, do not stay here it's awful. June 10, 20190/10 would recommend living here. The “value” can be found elsewhere with -at least- different staff. My experience living here has been nothing but unpleasant from move in, beginning with a lock that doesn’t exactly fit the key I was given. So I have to jiggle the key a little to get in. It’s like living in an old janky vintage house except I JUST moved into this apartment less than a year ago and everything should be in working order. Maintenance doesn’t respond to requests, and if they do ...it’s usually done wrong and takes 2-3 tries for them to get it. My dishwasher is still not secured to the kitchen counter, and I put that work order in (twice) over 7 months ago. Administrative staff, who handle resident money and rent, are irresponsible and rude. There’s a rent drop box in the office. I paid rent this month and they are trying to charge late fees because they ‘haven’t received’ rent. They haven’t checked their rent drop box, and are acting like it’s my fault as the resident. Why have a rent drop box if you aren’t going to check it, right? The washers and dryers rarely work- yes laundry is “on site,” but it’s more expensive per load than a laundromat, the washers are often smelly with musty water sitting in the bottom, and the dryers do not fully dry your clothes (unless you go to the 4th floor of the 4591 building and use the dryer on the left- but who wants to live at a place with only one working dryer on the 4th floor?) I’ve only lived here 8 months, so I have yet to really delve into the charm of the complex, but if I were thinking about renting here, I would definitely reconsider.Property Manager Responded

Lovely Staff and Lots Of Space
January 21, 2019I can say I was very Skeptical about the place because of where it is located. But once I stepped inside the leasing office I felt better. It was nice and clean and smelt great. Nick greeted me right away and was very professional and kind and funny as well. SO now i really wanted to move in lol. Also met Enid and she was another comedian. They both kept a smile on their faces and made me feel very welcomed. As Nick was walking me to show the apartment he kept up good conversation, which i can ...say many places don't really do that at all just walk yo and show the apartment then back to the office. I got the 1/1 and wow the space was what i wanted. So i would say to ANYONE come move in and don't let the outside turn you away trust me you wont regret it. October 10, 2018This place is horrible the people that work there is very unprofessional and disrespectful especially Nicholas he informed that the except family success made complete an application that was approved after paying $225 but when it was time to process a move in date he told me they will no longer except the program and I would need to pay out of pocket never refunded my money after 3 months and everytime I ask when I should expect my refund they NEVER provided me a date!!! You are going to regret it
August 24, 2018Current management are horrible , they only care about people garbage and how the apartment complex looks on the outside and go within the stairs or any vary of areas you smell pee , they tell you when to take out your garbage . I have Had my bathroom growing some stuff from the ceiling contacted them and they said ‘ oh the bathroom above have flooded’ guess what it’s stil there to this day it’s unclean , unhealthy , and unorganized individuals and they cannot answer a question straight . Plus ...you have to have an insurance to be over here now and water payment I’m almost through with my lease so when it’s up definitely moving . DO NOT RENT HERE !Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
