Woodland Heights is a Great Community and Great Place to Live
November 6, 2025Woodland Heights Apartments has been a lovely and welcoming community to live in after making the move to Chillicothe. The apartments are well-maintained, clean, pretty inside as well as outside, and highly affordable. The neighbors are good people, and the apartment management team are fantastic as well! This is the best experience I have had living in an apartment community. Not only are management and maintenance kind, knowledgeable, and always helpful when responding to any questions or ...sharing new information, they also do a great job making sure everything stays in good shape—from the parking lots, lawns, and outdoor lighting to everything inside each apartment. In the rare instance you might need to submit a maintenance request, they are fast. That is not the norm at other places, so I really want to highlight that. This apartment community is located in a beautiful part of Chillicothe—there are many trees here and lots of open sky to see. It is close enough to main city roads to shop or travel conveniently, yet situated in a way that you won’t hear lots of noise or deal with much nearby traffic. There is a gorgeous park trail nearby, and Buzzard’s Roost is not too far away either. My kids are grown up, but if they were little, they would have a sheltered bus stop available for them to stay out of the rain here. Not all of the communities have this yet, but Woodland Heights does. There are nice play areas near each group of buildings and there are good sidewalks. People walk their dogs and clean up after them here, and it’s a good place to go for walks without having to leave for someplace else if you just want to take a walk for your health. There are several ways to pay rent here, and you also don’t have to sign a 12-month lease. If you’re moving here for work or other reasons, it will be a great place to start! The rent, location, property, and staff are the best you will find of any apartment communities.Property Manager Responded

Best apartments in town
November 5, 2025My parents moved in here in 1985, I've lived here from 4yrs old to raising my kids here. 40 years. They are older apartments with a lot of history, but the management staff has been doing everything to update them one by one. I love our management staff, they go above and beyond to help any resident that needs help. They are always smiling, very professional, and friendly. I know if I ever have an issue, I can go talk to them and not fear losing my home. Many people can't say that about their ...landlords. We have an amazing community too!Property Manager Responded

Very Old and Run Down
September 18, 2016These apartments are really old and very run down. Some things in them are as old as the units themselves and have never been upgraded. Dilapidated vanities, sinks, toilets and tub. Crusty old metal medicine cabinets in the bathrooms. Shabby carpets that don't match. Lousy paint job. Ancient shelves and fixtures in the closets and kitchen. The work that has been done is sub par at best and looks like it was rushed. Very unprofessional job of remodeling. If you can call it remodeling. I love it here
July 29, 2016I looked all over Chillicothe before I moved here. In my opinion, this complex is, by far, the best one that I found. The apartments are older, but they take good care of them. Anytime that I call in for something that needs fixed, maintenance is there the same day or the next day. The office staff is great. I wondered what it would be like be living in an apartment. I worried about noise, but that's not an issue at all. It's very very quiet. Seems to be working families that actually go to ...bed at decent hours.
