This place needs a makeover
February 27, 2024Maintenance team here is AWESOME! That’s because of all the repairs this place needs on a daily basis. OLD and OUTDATED appliances and HVAC unit. The outdated air conditioner and the poorly outdated windows will cause you many illnesses. Then they tell you to not open your doors and windows due to an easily availability of mold. Too many rules here. You pay and live under the so many rules they have created. The apartment itself is fine but the massive rent increases are not
June 14, 2023Good location, pretty nice units, but once you move in the staff becomes significantly less friendly, standoffish almost, service requests will sit for a week without action, and if you happen to be a long time resident they’ll soullessly increase your rent hundreds of dollars with about a months notice. May 24, 2023My lady and I moved here in August 2022, and we have LOVED every minute of being here!! Woodmere checks all of our boxes, in terms of requirements! First off, the Front Office team is wonderful! They're very cordial, kind and responsive to the requests of their tenants. Heidi, Anthony and Trista do an excellent job of responding back to tenants. You can tell they enjoy their jobs, because they're always happy to be there!! That happiness shows in all they do! They're truly remarkable!! If you ...need something taken care of, rest assured that it will be handled with expediency and the utmost care! The grounds themselves are impeccably kept! Even after Ian, the property looked great! You can tell that the owner takes excellent care of their property! The pool is great too, always clean, a saltwater pool and refreshing! Plus, it's nice to be well off of Jacaranda! You have enough distance to where you're not hearing cars speeding down the roads at night. It's peaceful and quiet which is what you want! You can tell that the neighbors enjoy being there too! People say hello to one another and are friendly! That in itself says a lot about Woodmere!! The fact that people are happy with where they live? Wonderful! Another nice amenity is that you're close to 41 and Jacaranda, so if you have Walmart and Publix within walking distance, and restaurants nearby. You don't have to drive far to get what you need!! In closing, we would definitely recommend Woodmere Apartments in Venice! The Front Office staff is the best I've ever seen at an apartment complex, the grounds are well-maintained and the fact that you're close to stores you'll visit regularly? Resort living
October 30, 2019Love living here. First off office staff and maintenance staff are fantastic!, friendly, courteous, extremely helpful. Maintenance issues get done sometimes even before 24 hours. Super clean great pool area. Landscaping always done well. When I moved in they made sure everything was freshly painted and replaced appliances...everything was in extremely good condition. They give you a check list and I had two small issues that needed repairing and they were done by the next day. The people who live ...here in my experience are respectful and quiet. I had a one-bedroom top corner unit with a view out to the back fountain and I felt when I came home from work every day that I was living at a resort. The complex itself is off the street so it's pretty quiet and yet it is easily accessible to 75 and 41. Anything you need is close by and many things are within walking distance the park next door is a nice place to walk and the library is across the street. Parking is first come first serve but I've never had a problem finding an easy spot close to my door. December 14, 2018Do not apply here if your rental history or back ground checks out 100% perfect with no blemishes at all. They are almost 100% occupied and take peoples application money just to deny them for even the smallest of circumstances. if you have ever broken a lease and even paid it in full they will deny you and take your money. Only people with perfect records with not a single blemish can apply here. With that said us normal people that are not perfect stand no chance getting a place here. If this ...is you stay away or say goodbye to your application fee and waste your time coming in and bringing all their criteria and such. Be warned... December 2, 2016Management plays the 'trap your application money game' --- bring your credit report on your visit and get a verbal pre approval from the 'top manager' --- not the leasing agents --- or they will bait you into giving a non refundable application fee and then you will not get approved. The top manager does not give the leasing agents a copy of the credit report so they can review it with you. Management couldn't tell an investment 'deed in lieu' from a personal residence 'foreclosure' on an ...applicant with a seven figure cash net worth. This is the old 'trap the suckers deposit money' --- then the leasing agents get part of the application fees as commissions. August 13, 2015I love the apartments at Woodmere in Venice, Florida. Driving through the entrance you can already sense it's a place that is well maintained and Beautiful. The club house, pool, gym and the three ponds add to the benefits and the feeling of luxury. The staff is friendly and always ready to help with any need. August 7, 2015Woodmere apartments is within walking distance to all kinds of shopping. There is a county park before you enter the complex. The clubhouse is available for parties and get togethers and has a pool and every Saturday the management provides coffee, bagels and donuts for all who reside in the apartments. It's their way of bringing the community together. Speaking of management, they provide a news letter with helpful information, offer fully furnished guest suites for visitors, and are ALWAYS ...available. I have never had a maintenance problem that was not addressed promptly. The grounds are well maintained weekly and mailboxes are easily accessible.
