worst place I've lived in fort wayne

lived here less than a year and it's falling apart. "newly renovated" but I could have done a better job with no experience. the laminate flooring started peeling up, and kitchen drawers and cabinets were poorly installed. the dishwasher smelled when we moved in. door stopped locking because the wood on the frame was so old and had so many layers of paint that it was chipping and falling apart. can't schedule a maintenance request even if you have pets so they just will randomly show up. on top ...
of all that, paying almost 1500 dollars for an apartment with no laundry machines or even a facility on site is insane. I wish I never moved here.

The landlord at Woodview Manor puts notice to entry notes on residence doors at random. Not putting them on the actual apartments that are going to be entered. They will say they are coming one day and then they don't show up and put another notice to show up another day. They DEMAND I lock up my pets for 8 hours IN CASE they show. So, that means they go for 8 hours with no food, water, or place to use the bathroom because they may have to get into that room. We need notices IF they are actually ...
coming by. I WILL NOT be subjecting my animals to neglect because the property manager does NOT know what apartments HUD is actually visiting or ones that actually need repairs. Between last year and this month we have received a total of about 8 notices. But NONE of them accurate, some of them VAGUE as to what repairs or clear reasoning. I pay rent, I live here and I pay for my living animals to live here. The last note was demanding our PERSONAL PROPERTY be up to her specifications. Excuse me? Since when do you or the property manager hold control over our personal property? That is NOT in my lease. Being told HOW I have to live was NOT in my lease. This is a breach of Peaceful Enjoyment and Harassment at this point because it is causing us undo stress. It is causing my pets undo stress and is unacceptable. All the while nearly EVERY time I come home there is the smell of weed in the hallway. When I toured, I was assured that was not accepted. I cannot even speak to the property manager about issues because according to her "you complain too much." So she isn't even giving me the option of Right to Peaceful enjoyment because I cannot report anything to her. Rather I have to listen to the neighbors scream at each other at 10 pm nearly every night.

I have lived here going on 3 years and have had an amazing experience. The management team is always more then willing to help with any problems. Rebecca and Beth always greet me with a smile willing to help. Maintenance doesn’t take long to come to the apartment to fix a work order. For the price,location, and staff you can’t find a better apartment.

This is one of the cheapest housing options near to IPFW campus. If you are studying at IPFW or IVY tech and want to have a quality housing at a low price, I would suggest you to stop by their leasing office. Very nice for monthly rate. 3br 1 1/2b for $699 a month with most utilities included! Only thing I pay is electricity and cable. On site maintenance, although usually busy so sometimes can't get to my apartment extremely quick, is nice and they get the job done! I'd recommend to anyone looking for a new apartment. In a nice part of town, right down the street from IPFW and Ivy Tech community college.
