August 12, 2016I have been to Yacht Club a few times -apartment shopping and liked everything about it. Unfortunately, it's too far from where I work now so I had to nix the place. I took a tour and got a friendly call back a few days later asking if I was interested in coming back for another tour and to answer any questions I didn't think to ask during the first tour. The ladies in the office were extremely helpful in directions to the office because, it's right in the middle of the complex. The clubhouse is ...beautiful as are the grounds. Looks pretty well taken care of and the maintenance guys are very present from what I saw. The only draw back is that they require more in income to qualify then the other places around that area. I guess thats a way of weeding out the "undesirables"? My experience with Yacht Club was very pleasant and I felt extremely attended to. DO NOT MOVE HERE
August 5, 2016This is absolutely the worst place I've ever lived. I lived in subsidized housing that was better than this! My rent is NEVER EVER the same, nothing ever gets fixed, the gate has stayed broken for months at a time SEVERAL TIMES, the water makes weird noises, and the management DOES NOT CARE!!!!! I've spoken to management several times about rising rent and INVARIABLY their reaction is a shrug and an oh well...that's just how it is. The buildings are old, drafty, falling apart and the wiring is so ...bad, the power blew out in the middle of the night and when PSO came to fix it, it blew the power out for the whole complex and set the transformer on fire. Everything old is replaced with cut-rate equipment and when THAT fails, it's the *TENNANT'S* responsibility to pay for it. If you value your paycheck, stay far far away from Yacht club because you'll never see a cent of it thanks to rising rent, repairs, and ever rising electric rates to heat/cool the wretched place. Yacht Club Apartments
August 5, 2015Overall the apartments are not bad. They are peaceful and we have not had any issues with car theft or unruly neighbors. The maintenance staff is great and come out the same day to fix issues and also during the night. The office staff could improve. They do not take things very seriously. Our heat went out this winter and it took the heater breaking 7 times before they came out and replaced it. Like I said maintenance is great but the higher ups wouldn't approve a proper fix. You are allowed to ...have pets and they are not as breed strict as some places. There are no bugs in our apartments. There are no units with washer and dyers so you have to use a laundry mat which is a pain because there are only two laundry areas on the property and on the weekends they are pretty full.
