If your headed back to your apartment, and driving down Manor road, you'll want to stop and check out Morris Williams Golf Course. Opened in 1963, the course features small elevated, contoured greens. These features combined with the rolling hills, make Morris Williams a VERY challenging golf course. However, the recent addition of forward trees and improved turf make the course playable for all levels of players. Morris Williams Golf course was named after Morris Williams, a young man who won every Golf trophy in the Austin area including the National Airforce trophy. He lost his life during the Korean war in a jet plane crash. So, if your looking a challenging golf game, a little of nostalgia, in a beautiful area of Austin, let your apartment be for awhile, take the challenge, you won't regret it!
