Though there are many options, one of your best bets would be the Austin Chronicle's choice for Best Burger in 2007, Burger Tex. This is not your usual burger place, and it puts McDonald's or Burger King to shame. If you are looking for a great way to get out of your Austin apartment and enjoy a tasty burger, Burger Tex is your place! Stepping into Burger Tex, you soon realize just how many options for your burger needs. Top your burgers with cheese, bacon, mushrooms, you name it, the restaurant is there to please, and you're unlikely to get let down. Unlike many other burger places, Burger Tex uses only fresh, USDA Choice Chuck Patties, so you're sure to walk away with a real burger, instead the Frankenmeat some other places may call "hamburger".
