Birmingham apartment-ites know that one of the most historical spots in the entire city is the famous Forest Park district, making it one spot that every person living them has to hit. While visiting Forest Park, there's one restaurant that visitors much hit up, which has been serving food to eager Birminghamans for over 20 years, always leaving them coming back for more, and that's The Silvertron Café. Delicious food, a calm, relaxing atmosphere and great service come together to make this Alabama staple, and if you haven't been through it doors, you simply can't call yourself a real Birmingham apartment-ite. No matter when you come in to Silvertron, there's always a delicious meal waiting for ya, morning, noon or night. There are plenty of tasty breakfast items to choose from, including some house specialties, including the Silvertron Omelet, with cheese, peppers, onions, and your choice of ham, bacon ro sausage, served with grits and toast, or the Silvertron stuffed muffins, filled wieh egg, bacon and cheese, served with grits. They also have delicious pancakes and French toast made right in house, as well as a morning buffet of pastries, cereal, yogurt and fruit. They also have a tasty lunch and dinner menu, in which they bring out their A-Game. Start out with some of their fried mushrooms, chili cheese fries, chicken fingers, or their hummus and friends dip, which features a new flavor every week. You could also try their French onion soup or home made chili, or their Silvertron salad, or quiche of the day. They also have a wide variety of main dishes, including delicious pasta dishes such as fettucine All'Alfredo, served with their special peppery Alfredo sauce, Pasta alla Marco, with sweet bell peppers, Italian sausage, onions and a slightly spicy tomato sauce, and their linguine with marinara or pesto sauce, both home made. They also have plenty of Southwest Specialties, such as fajitas, quesadillas, and fish tacos, as well as a number of delicious wraps. Be sure to try one of their favorites, like their fish and chips, hand-fried and generously served, the chicken parmigiana, or their fresh chicken pot pie, made with huge chunks of chicken. Rounding out the menu is a delicious selection of burgers, sandwiches and pizza that must be tasted to be believed.
