1. Procter & Gamble
People choose to work with Procter & Gamble for any number of reasons, ranging from working in pharmaceuticals to taking part in factory labor. The headquarters of P&G is near downtown, which means you can find plenty of nearby apartments to keep your commute down to around 10 minutes or under. Check out these neighborhoods if you are concerned about having a short commute.
Over-the-Rhine

Over-the-Rhine sits close to downtown, and it's well-known for its historic architecture. It's also close to Findlay Market and a fantastic food scene, so if you love to eat, that's where friends generally recommend. In this area, residents often use the Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar. It runs directly to downtown offices, making the commute a breeze. And, like most of Cinci, you're just minutes from I-71 and I-75.

Mount Adams

Mount Adams is east of downtown but near Eden Park. It's also known for its historically relevant homes and beautiful architecture. It's not as walkable as Over-the-Rhine or Downtown Cinci, but you'll like that it's close to US-50 and that your commute time by car is still typically 10 minutes or less.

Walnut Hills

Walnut Hills is a residential neighborhood that you'll find to the east of downtown. It's a commercial sector, and it's connected by Metro bus routes. It is also close to I-71, so you can hop on the highway quickly and easily.

2. Kroger
Another big name in this area is Kroger. Kroger, the massive grocer, is located in Fountain Square, close to downtown dining options and lots of apartments. Many of the employees working there walk to work, but Metro also covers bus routes there.

Roebling Suspension Bridges. You can hop to Hard Rock Casino or Legacy Tours from here in just minutes, so if you're new to the area or enjoy gambling, this could be your new favorite place.
Downtown Covington, Kentucky

If you are interested in avoiding Cincinnati's city tax, you might want to hop across the Ohio River and live in Covington, KY, instead. It's literally a five-minute commute across the bridge (unless it's peak hours) and places you in view of Cinci from across the water. You'll be close to Newport Aquarium and other cool tourist attractions, too.
3. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
If you want to work with children in medicine, then Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is a good place to go. It works with some of the most vulnerable among us, ensuring children get the care they need for injuries, illnesses, and diseases of all kinds. The medical center is located uptown, so you'll need to shift to different neighborhoods than those above for a short commute.
Clifton

Clifton is extremely close to the medical campus and is one of the most popular neighborhoods for hospital employees to live in (especially because many are on-call). Many residents walk or bike to work, and the Metro bus does come through this area. I-75 is located to the west for easy commutes out of the area, too.

Avondale borders the hospital campus and offers some of the shortest commute times possible for busy doctors and other healthcare employees. Bus service is frequent due to this area being a medical corridor, or you can hop on I-75 to get where you’re going. And, remember, if you live in Avondale, you'll be close to the Cincinnati Zoo, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and the famous botanical gardens.

4. General Electric (GE) Aerospace
GE Aerospace operates a major campus in Evendale, which you will find on Cincinnati’s north side. This is one of the region’s largest employers for engineers, technicians, and corporate professionals, making it vital to the local economy and a fantastic place to call your work home if you want to succeed in those fields in Ohio.
Because the facility sits outside center of Cincinnati, employees tend to live in neighborhoods with easy highway access and predictable drive times. Not many people find apartments or homes where they can walk to work (Ohio is, for the most part, rural outside city centers). So, if you’ll work here, be prepared to use your car or another transportation service. I’d consider finding a property along I-75, I-71, and I-275, so you can quickly get onto the highway and save time. According to friends in the area, renters often choose nearby Northside communities that offer more space, quieter residential streets, and straightforward access to the Evendale campus, such as Blue Ash, Evendale, or Springdale.

Evandale lets you hop onto I-75 in just a few minutes, so you can get in or out of town easily.
