It's hard not to be a Columbus apartment-ite without ever visiting the Santa Maria. While it's not the exact same ship as that of Christopher Columbus, this serves as a faithful, life-sized replica of the 15th Century vessel and is essentially an interactive exhibit. The museum's tour guides are dressed in the clothing of the 15th Century, and as the ship is authentically small, so is the tour. The museum is only open seasonally, from May through to the end of October, culminating on a haunted tour on Halloween which is fun for all apartment-ites. It's located on W Broad St right downtown, and the ship is a popular destination for weddings as well as local events (including a fencing tournament in the summer). Apart from that, there isn't much to it, but if you have friends or family visiting the area, this is a charming but obligatory tourist stop for those who want an insight into what life was like during this historical journey. The replica was built in 1942 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the voyage.
