The Detroit nightlife scene is full of interesting and unique experiences, but many times the exciting nights can leave a Detroit apartment resident tired and exhausted. If you're looking for a place to wind down, or pre-game before heading out for your exhilarating night, no place is better for your needs than The Town Pump Tavern. It's casual, relaxing atmosphere, combined with its delicious food and refreshing alcohol, make it the perfect spot to escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It's also a nice spot to hit while touring the town, considering its close proximity to many Detroit landmarks. This tavern makes sure they keep the beer everflowing, with plenty of great flavors on tap, including Bass, Bell's Amber Light and Oberon, Molson Canadian, Young's Oatmeal Stout, Rickard's, Labatt Blue, and even Miller Light. It's also fantastic that you can get an ice cold pint of beer, a burger, and fries for only five bucks if you stop in for weekday lunch. No matter when you go in, however, you're guaranteed to find something cool to wet your whistle. This Tavern also sports a nifty menu of tasty burgers and sandwiches, including the bistro beef and cheddar, with red peppers, baby spinach and a horseradish-peppercorn sauce, the grilled portabella sandwich, the mesquite cowboy chicken sandwich, with bacon, onions, jalapenos, wild greens and a whole grain mustard sauce, and the Pumptown burger, with mushrooms, bacon, Swiss, and grilled onions, the jalapeno burger with jalapenos and cajun seasoning, and even burgers made out of tuna or turkey, for those looking for something a little more light. For other light options, you can take a gander at their extensive menus of salads and soups as well, or you could check out something from their extensive list of appetizers.
