Full of long wooden tables and friendly, rustic charm, this homey café is perfect for families or large groups, who like to have fun and aren't afraid to get a little rowdy from time to time. Since one of the main foods eaten in Belgium is mussels, you'll find them cooked in every way, shape and form imaginable here. To start things off, you can have Mussels Escargot, mussels served on the half shell with garlic butter and onions, Mussels Rockefeller, smothered with spinach, bacon and Holland cheese, Mussels Creole, with spicy Cajun creole sauce, or smoked mussels with chopped onions and crackers. For the main course, you can have steamed mussels, Mussels Citroen, with garlic lemon butter and dill broth, Mussels Marinara, or Mussels Forte Dei Marmi, in garlic, white wine and olive oil. If mussels aren't your thing, you don't have to leave, you can try one of their other Belgian options, such as liver pate, roast beef dinner, beer-braised chicken, or the Belgian dip, their take on the French dip, or their Fish and Chips, Perch, Talapia, or Steak Valare, or one of their fantastic sandwich options. End your night off with some delicious Belgian Chocolate, or a chocolate sundae. Of course, another thing that Belgium is famous for, aside from its mussels, is its beer, so they have a wide variety of just that. Over a dozen varieties of Belgian beer are available for you to try, as well as numerous others from all around the world, from right here in Michigan, to all the way to Australia, Holland, or Germany. If you're a beer fan, this is definitely one place to check out.
