And you would THINK it would be expensive to live in such a unique tourist destination like this fun coastal SC city, but there are some really cool and affordable apartments to rent in Myrtle Beach…AND…they are so much fun to live in. If you’re like me, living at the beach is enough to make you pack up and move there today, but when you add in all the vacation-like surroundings, it could be the most perfect beach town in the U.S. to live in!

Downtown Myrtle Beach Apartments allow you to walk to many places, which is a great perk, and are also close to Coastal Carolina University, where my sister was lucky enough to go to school, so they are a smart choice close to campus for students!

2. Palmetto Glen Pinecrest

I love the options in affordable apartments in Myrtle Beach near Palmetto Glen Pinecrest and that there is easy access to everything you need at the local Market Common. That’s a great perk because you can find everything you need without having to sit in tourist traffic on a beach day. Trust me, you’ll come to appreciate that later!

With many options for dining in the area, you can quickly cure the munchies with a banana split from Cold Stone Creamery or fried rice from P.F. Changs. You’re also close to a variety of cool stores for shopping and the Grand 14 Cinema for catching the latest movie. It’s so cool to watch the alligators hanging out in the protected wetlands in the backyard. Fascinating! The location is great, but remember that no matter where you live in Myrtle Beach, there will be traffic during the summer months. Even though these affordable Myrtle Beach Apartments are just 7 miles from the beach, it can take an hour to get your toes in the sand on a holiday weekend!

Fox Horn Apartments in Myrtle Beach are great for students at nearby Georgetown Technical College and Coastal Carolina University who want an easy commute near campus. It’s also a great place for those who like to travel or must fly for work since it’s near the airport for convenience, but we are not real fans of the noise level! Forestbrook Village Shopping is uber-convenient, where you can get groceries from Food Lion, grab a slice from Geno’s, or do lunch at Ryan’s Deli Café without wandering far from home. We also love the Fox Horn community pool, and the fact that it is in the middle of everything yet mostly tucked away from traffic and crowds.   

4. Wellington

Myrtle Beach Wellington Apartments puts you within minutes of taking a dip in the ocean and enjoying all the fun at the famous beaches, shops, and attractions in Myrtle Beach. Living next to the famous strip in Myrtle Beach is probably one of the coolest things on the planet, if I’m being honest, and I recommend everyone do it for a bit if they can!

We also love being so close to local food faves, like Bubba’s Fish Camp, Fox’s Pizza Den, The Hangout, and Carolina Roadhouse. From college students to retirees and young families, Wellington apartments in Myrtle Beach are a great place to live and even offer residents a refreshing pool to hang out, covered porches to relax on, and a quick commute to work, class, entertainment, or shopping.
