The big game...a big, juicy burger...beer... Forget watching the game in your apartment. Head down to Johnny's Fillin' Station and watch it on one of their many TVs. Even the patio has a flat screen, and live music four nights a week. The décor is an eclectic mix of sports banners, beer signs, rock concert posters, and random flea market feeling knickknacks. Stay entertained at halftime, between quarters or innings with their pool table or darts, or load your favorite tunes on the jukebox. But on to the burgers, which are undoubtedly some of the best in the city. The burgers are a half pound of fresh, cooked to order ground beef. Feeling like ground beef isn't enough meat? Try the Full Service burger topped with ham, mushrooms, and your choice of cheese (Swiss is highly recommended). Want a little "cowboy" flavor? Then the Texas Chili Burger, with no bean chili and cheddar cheese on Texas Toast will certainly please. Although the steak fries are a great addition to any burger, try a side of best tater tots in town. As an appetizer, the Fried Mac-N-Cheese takes your childhood favorite to a whole new level. Still have room for dessert? Try it fried with the Double Chocolate Fried Brownie Bites, Fried Cheesecake Bites, or a Waffle topped with Fried Vanilla Ice Cream. This is definitely not the place to worry about calorie counting, but if you must, they do serve an assortment of fresh wraps and salads. The best thing about Johnny's, besides the burgers, are the hours. The restaurant stays open until 2a, the kitchen stays open until 1a Sun-Thurs and 1:30a Friday and Saturday. They even deliver until 1a, so you can still have a hot, fresh burger delivered straight to your apartment even late at night.
