For those looking for authentic Irish flavor, with a varied selection of brews to choose from, come on down to Seamus McCaffrey's Pub and Restaurant. First and foremost when it comes to a successful pub is a nice selection of brews, but is even more famous for its fantastic selection of Irish whiskeys, reaching across all areas of the emerald isle. For beers, they have the usual British varieties, including Newcastle, Guinness and Smithwick's, while also serving up local favorite Four Peaks Kiltlifter, as well as another international flavors such as Stella Artois and Widmer Hefeweisen. The real star of the show, however, is the whiskey, all hand selected by experts in the field. Most bars and restaurants may have two or three kinds of Irish whiskey, but at Seamus McCaffrey's, you'll find dozens upon dozens of different varieties to try, from regions that stretch all across Ireland. It's a whiskey lovers paradise, and you're not likely to find a better selection anywhere else in the city. After taking in all that whiskey, you'll need something to feed your growling stomach, and Seamus delivers there. The menu is filled with traditional Irish favorites, including fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, and, of course, traditional Irish stew, with only the freshest meat and vegetables. They also offer a selection of Boxtys, grilled potato pancakes covered in your choice of chicken, corned beef and cabbage, steak and Guinness stout, or their vegetarian option in a think cream sauce. For more American fare, try one of their mouth-watering burgers, including the teriyaki mushroom burger, the Swiss mushroom burger, or the Paddy O'Melt. Just make sure to save room at the end of the night for J.T.'s award-winning Irish Whiskey cake. When it comes to pubs in Phoenix, you're not without a great number of choices, so make sure to make the right one.
