This cozy downtown suite features a fully equipped kitchen with apartment-sized appliances and all the small appliances needed to feel at home, including salt, pepper, cooking oil, and fresh coffee beans. A counter area with stool seating for two is also available. The open-plan living space includes a comfortable double bed, a double futon, and a smart TV with standard cable, offering views of the parking lot towards the Lizard Range/Fernie Alpine Resort. The bathroom boasts a large walk-in shower with in-floor heating, and hotel-quality towels, locally made hand soap, and body wash/shampoo are provided. The unit's heat sources include a small oil space heater and in-floor heating in the bathroom. A communal laundry room is available for guest use. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Fernie is known for its picturesque landscapes and outdoor activities. The historic downtown area features charming boutique shops, restaurants, and cafes. Fernie Alpine Resort is a short 12-minute drive away, with a shuttle bus available during winter months. The property is walkable and bikeable once you arrive. Due to the downtown location, expect some local noise throughout the day and into the evenings, especially during peak season. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the unit, property, or on decks, balconies, or courtyards. No pets or parties are allowed. Sports equipment must remain downstairs in the provided storage area. Quiet time is from 11 pm to 7 am. Fines and/or eviction may occur for broken building rules. For guests staying for work, please do not track mud, coal, or work-related mess into the building or unit, and do not bring work materials or supplies inside. A minimum of $50/hr will be charged if flooring is coal/dirt stained and requires treatment, including communal areas. Laundering of 'coal' work clothes is not allowed in the unit's washing or drying machines. There will be a minimum surcharge of $150 per bedroom if laundry is stained beyond recovery and/or the unit is found excessively dirty. Dark laundry sets are available upon request when booking, and late requests may incur a change-over fee. A fine of up to $1000 will be issued, and you could be asked to vacate if any house rules are not obeyed.
