Enjoy sweeping 180° unobstructed views of the sand and surf, and partake in activities like riding, scooting, and volleyball just outside your door. Alki Beach Park is an active place with lots of cafes, restaurants, and bike/kayak/paddle board rentals. It is also part of the renowned "Whale Trail", a series of sites to view whales and other marine mammals from shore along the Pacific Coast. The best time to see orca whales from Alki is during the fall and winter, when the southern resident pods return to this area. West Seattle has a small-town vibe but is easily accessible by Water Taxi, bus, car, or ride share. There may be guests staying in the unit below, so please keep your shoes off and avoid loud TV and other sounds in consideration. It can sometimes get very noisy here depending on the season and time of year. No pets are allowed, with a $250 added fine. No smoking is allowed on the premises, with a $300 added fine. Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. Parties are not allowed. During popular summer weekends, Alki Beach can get very crowded, and street parking can become challenging.
